April 24 is the ninth "China Aerospace Day". On the same day, the "Boundless - Aerospace Science and Technology Immersive Art Exhibition" opened at the Suzhou Bay Digital Art Museum (EDCC). The exhibition aims to deepen the public's understanding of the brilliant achievements of the mainland's aerospace industry, promote the spirit of China's aerospace industry, and arouse the enthusiasm and yearning of all walks of life, especially young people, for the cause of aerospace exploration.
Hosted by the Suzhou Bay Digital Art Museum, the exhibition covers an area of 1,500 square meters, including more than 12 immersive exhibition areas, presenting more than 20 aerospace exhibits and art installations. Through the meticulously restored scenes of Mars and the Moon, the exhibition skillfully integrates interactive experience and professional knowledge explanation, bringing the audience an immersive journey of space exploration.
In the exhibition hall, visitors can not only see cutting-edge spacecraft models such as the Long March series rockets and the Zhurong Mars rover up close, but also see the historical traces of real rocket remains. In addition, the audience can also feel the thrill of the space elevator lift-off, interactively explore the artistic charm of space black holes, and deeply appreciate the vastness and mystery of the universe.
At the opening ceremony, an exhibition promotional video led the audience to experience the vastness of the universe and the passion for exploration. Subsequently, Wang Bin, general manager of Suzhou Bay Digital Art Museum, delivered a speech on stage, and he introduced to the audience in detail the deep historical relationship between the Wujiang area where the art museum is located and China's astronomy and aerospace industry. Back in the 17th century, Wujiang's astronomer Wang Xixian wrote "The Solution of the Five Stars", which deeply explored the mystery of planetary motion, and Academician Yang Jiaqi (from Wujiang), a meritorious scientist of "two bombs and one satellite" in the field of mainland aerospace, also made outstanding contributions to the country's aerospace industry. In order to commemorate these two great figures, the exhibition has set up a special "Double Star Shining" exhibition area.
As the chairman of the Young Craftsmen Committee of the Suzhou Gusu District Folk Artists Association, young artist Zhai Lei created a 1.8-meter-long space-themed print for the exhibition. At the opening ceremony, she deeply analyzed the concept of the integration of art and technology, and said that AI technology and modern printing methods were used in this creation, while retaining the traditional watermark and mimeograph technology, making this work a work of art that blends ancient and modern, technology and art. This print not only celebrates the brilliant achievements of China's aerospace industry, but also embodies the harmonious coexistence of traditional art and modern innovation.
At the same time, the popular science education base of Yang Jiaqi Experimental School officially settled in Suzhou Bay Digital Art Museum, which marks that the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in many fields such as popular science research, subject research, cultural exchanges and theme publicity in the future. At the end of the opening ceremony, BOE Yiyun Digital Cultural Industry Base ushered in an important progress - the successful signing of the digital cultural and creative project. Suzhou Chuangyi Digital Technology Co., Ltd., jointly funded by BOE Yiyun and Wujiang Cultural Tourism Development Group, has been officially put into operation.
