"The sumptuous Korean home-cooked set meal is a daily routine for us Koreans!"
Recently, the official account of the National Tourism Administration of Korea on Chinese social networks issued such an ostentatious remark, which aroused onlookers from netizens.
It is worth mentioning that the bizarre remark that "Manchu and Han banquets are traditional Korean foods" that caused an uproar on Chinese social networks also came from the South Korean National Tourism Organization.
What made Chinese netizens dumbfounded was that after the Korean National Tourism Organization boasted that the Korean family package was too rich, the pictures posted were shocked.
Whether it's a so-called barbecue set meal or a seafood set, it's almost like a "kimchi meeting" – almost all of Korean kimchi on the table is served in small plates.
"The so-called sumptuous Korean family meal is a table of kimchi for a meeting?"
I have to say that the Chinese and Korean catering cultures have completely different understandings of the word "rich"!
1. The Korea Tourism Administration, which once concocted "Manchu and Han banquets are traditional Korean meals", once again boasted on the Chinese Internet: The Korean home-cooked meal is too rich
The picture below is a self-aggrandizing and boastful post published by the official Chinese account of the Korea National Tourism Organization.
The Korea Tourism Organization claims that the sumptuous Korean home-style set menu in the restaurant is the daily meal of Koreans.
There are three types of them.
Barbecue home-style course: It is a popular food among Koreans, with a fragrant and soft flavor.
Grilled Fish Homemade Course: The Korea Tourism Organization has made a point of emphasizing that there is a wide variety of seafood in this home-cooked course.
The last thing to come out was the "rice set" that Korea National Tourism Organization admired.
Just look at the description by the Korea Tourism Organization to see how proud they are of this Korean food feast: miso soup, seasonal vegetables, fried vermicelli, grilled fish...... It's very rich!
Judging from the above text description alone, I am afraid that the daily meals of Koreans are top-notch Korean food, which is hearty and gorgeous.
However, the Korean food pictures posted by the South Korean National Tourism Development Agency later shocked all Chinese netizens: What is this food?
2. The Korea Tourism Administration posted a sumptuous Korean national regular package, but it was a big surprise: a table of "kimchi meeting"
The picture below is a picture sent by the Korea National Tourism Organization on the official Chinese social media account to prove how rich the Korean home-style meal is.
As you can see from the picture, there are six bowls and plates on the table.
Three of the bowls were for kimchi, one for kimchi soup, and a bowl of white rice noodles.
The real main course is the roast pork in the middle that doesn't even have a color.
This is a barbecue course that the Korea Tourism Organization boasts of being "fragrant".
The Korea Tourism Organization also deliberately showed a close-up of Koreans enjoying Korean food: a rice spoon with a lump of white rice and a slice of bulgogi.
But under the rice spoon, almost all kinds of Korean kimchi are used.
The grilled fish course, which is touted by the Korea Tourism Organization as having a "wide variety of seafood", is the following style.
Except for the equally unpretentious plate of grilled fish in the middle, there are kimchi dishes all around: from pickled cabbage and bean sprouts to soaked kelp to kimchi soup.
3. Poor! The so-called sumptuous Korean home-style set meal: eight out of ten plates are filled with kimchi
As for the so-called "white rice course" that was blown up by the Korea Tourism Organization, it was even more surprising.
When I looked at it, I thought it was such a sumptuous top feast.
A closer look at the results shows that eight out of ten plates are filled with kimchi!
And many of the plates have a pitifully small amount of kimchi, only one or two slices of kimchi.
It is worth mentioning that this Korea Tourism Organization is the initiator of the previous online advocacy that "Manchu and Han banquets belong to the traditional Korean food culture".
The incident caused an uproar on Chinese social networks at the time.
Fourth, Korean fans are crazy: These Korean foods look delicious, and they are simply my favorite
These pictures of Korean national meal meals have been sought after by many Korean fans.
A Korean fan in Beijing describes his love for these Korean foods as "my favorite": I used to eat them often when I was studying in Korea, and I really missed them.
Another Korean fan in Shanghai agreed: I love it.
5. More netizens complained: The Korea Tourism Organization has redefined the word "abundance".
After seeing this set of pictures of the so-called Korean home-style meal, many Chinese netizens sighed: Koreans have redefined what "hearty" is.
A Fujian netizen's message was agreed by 17 people: To be honest, if I eat this kind of feast at home, my grandmother will secretly stuff me with money when she sees it.
This comment from Jiangsu netizens also received 12 likes: Watching Korean dramas, it is like the New Year when a family can eat meat. The son-in-law invited the mother-in-law to eat pork belly, and the mother-in-law praised the son-in-law to the sky.
Zhejiang netizens asked rhetorically: Why do Koreans eat these kimchi things every day?
Some Beijing netizens summed it up: Can a country that lives on kimchi and swill pot make any high-end food?
Thanks for watching
