In order to conscientiously implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, vigorously carry forward the spirit of model workers, labor spirit, and craftsman spirit in the new era, and further give full play to the leading role of the majority of model workers and craftsmen and advanced figures from all walks of life, on April 25, the 2024 "Model Worker Craftsman Entering the Campus" action hosted by the Kunming Federation of Trade Unions, the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions Staff School (Kunming Campus of Yunnan Craftsman College), the General Party Branch of the Second Kindergarten of the Municipal Teaching Workers, and the Second Kindergarten Trade Union of the Municipal Teaching Workers entered the Second Kindergarten of Kunming Teaching Workers. The event set up 1 main venue and 3 sub-venues, with a total of more than 160 people listening to the struggle deeds of model workers and craftsmen at close range, and feeling the progressive style of model workers.
In this lecture, Sun Hongyan, an expert teacher of the teacher pool of the Kunming Campus of Yunnan Craftsman University, the 2023 Great Craftsman of the Year (nominated), a great craftsman in light industry, the first Yunling craftsman, and the founder of the Dian School of Interior Painting, gave a wonderful lecture to the faculty and staff of the second kindergarten with the theme of "Thanksgiving Era, Inheritance of Culture, and Courage to Innovate".
"This red land in Yunnan has cultivated me and given me such a platform and opportunity to get me to where I am today!" At the propaganda event, Sun Hongyan fondly recalled the arduous process of creating, inheriting, publicizing and protecting the interior paintings of the Yunnan School. From the beginning of his solo arrival in Kunming to selling paintings on the streets, and gradually growing into a master of interior painting in the Dian School, Sun Hongyan has achieved his dream with persistence and love. The "Yunnan" flavor of the interior painting of the Yunnan school originates from the materials taken in Yunnan and the scenery of Yunnan, which integrates the customs and unique characteristics of ethnic minorities in Yunnan. In order to continuously enrich the creative materials and improve the creative process, for more than 20 years, Sun Hongyan has traveled all over the mountains and rivers of Yunnan to collect style, using Yunnan's local resources to independently develop painting materials and pigments, and strive to solve the problems of new product development, technological innovation and technological research, and created a series of unique Yunnan national characteristics of the interior painting works. In order to further inherit the "Dian School of Internal Painting Skills" and create a grand scene of "a hundred flowers blooming in spring", Sun Hongyan accepted apprentices for free, because "culture can only innovate and develop in open integration".
"As long as there are firm ideals and beliefs, unremitting spirit of struggle, and down-to-earth to do every ordinary thing well, all ordinary people can get an extraordinary life, and all ordinary work can create extraordinary achievements. At the end of the speech, Sun Hongyan borrowed General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the national medal and national honorary title awarding ceremony to explain his understanding of the spirit of craftsmen, and encouraged the teachers and staff present to base themselves on their posts and make unremitting efforts to pass on cultural knowledge and craftsman spirit from generation to generation.
"As kindergarten teachers in the new era, on the one hand, we should take intangible cultural heritage as the starting point, constantly build a strong sense of community of the Chinese nation, and actively guide children to understand and inherit the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, and on the other hand, we must learn the spirit of model workers, labor spirit and craftsman spirit emerging in the inheritance and innovation of intangible cultural heritage. Li Yumei, secretary of the general party branch of the second kindergarten of Kunming City, said that in the next work, all the teachers and staff of the second kindergarten will take technical talents like Sun Hongyan as a model, learn their craftsman spirit of "dedication, excellence, meticulousness, and pursuit of excellence", adhere to active learning and lifelong learning, and constantly improve professional ability and level, and contribute to the high-quality development of preschool education in Kunming.
