Air China plans to purchase 100 C919 extended-range aircraft

Civil Aviation Resources Network, April 26, 2024: On the evening of April 26, Air China announced that the company and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China signed an agreement on April 26, 2024 to purchase 100 C919 aircraft from COMAC, which are scheduled to be delivered to the company in batches from 2024 to 2031. Based on the latest catalogue prices provided by COMAC, the base price totals approximately $10.8 billion.

Air China said that after fair negotiations between the buyer and the seller, COMAC gave the company a large price concession for the purchase of the aircraft. The transaction will enable the Group to increase its capacity by approximately 7.5%.
