On 24 April, Hengwei Cold Chain Tianjin Binhai Park, located in the national backbone cold chain logistics base of the central fishing port, held an opening ceremony, adding new momentum to the development of the Eco-City's cold chain industry.
The park is built by Hengwei Cold Chain and Warburg Pincus, an investment institution, with a total investment of more than 600 million yuan, covering an area of about 100,000 square meters, and will be constructed in three phases, with a total area of about 20,000 square meters of single-layer cold storage.
Hengwei Cold Chain is a well-known cold storage developer and operator in the industry, providing third-party cold chain logistics services for large multinational enterprises for a long time. At present, Hengwei Cold Chain has established long-term and stable cooperative relations with many catering brands and trade circulation enterprises such as Pepsi Food (China).
Warburg Pincus began investing in China in 1994 and has invested in domestic brands such as 58.com, CAR and Red Star Macalline, covering industries such as consumer, healthcare, finance, high-tech and new infrastructure. Hengwei Cold Chain Tianjin Binhai Park is Warburg Pincus' first project in the cold chain industry, and the two parties will continue to deepen cooperation in the future to promote the further development of the park.
The high-standard cold storage area of 40,000 square meters can provide 50,000 tons of storage services in the whole temperature zone. Among them, the cold storage from 0 °C to 10 °C can meet the cold storage needs of agricultural products such as vegetables and fruits, and the cold storage from -18 °C to -25 °C can meet the freezing needs of seafood, meat, quick-frozen food and other products. Subsequently, the park will continue to plan and build the third phase of the 40,000 square meter project to further enhance the storage strength of the park.
In addition to warehousing, the park can also provide value-added services such as product processing, customs clearance, overseas ordering, and supply chain finance, further extending the regional cold chain industrial chain and helping the Eco-City form a full-chain and all-factor cold chain industrial ecology.
At the opening ceremony, Hengwei Cold Chain also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Henan Huading Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. to cooperate in the fields of warehousing and logistics, supply chain finance, etc., promote cold chain logistics technology innovation and service upgrading, and provide better cold chain logistics services for Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and surrounding regions.
Cold chain logistics involves the supply of daily necessities such as meat, aquatic products, vegetables and fruits, and is an important industry related to people's livelihood. Since the Eco-City's central fishing port was officially approved as a national backbone cold chain logistics base, it has gathered 60 upstream and downstream enterprises in the cold chain, including China Agricultural Batch, Youhe, Junhe Industry and China Fishery Real Estate, covering the fields of freight forwarding, customs clearance, frozen storage, food processing, distribution and supply chain financial support, and the industrial ecology has been continuously improved.
In the future, the Eco-City will accelerate the formulation of relevant policies to support the development of the cold chain industry, focusing on upgrading and strengthening import and export trade, production and processing, and green development of the park, so as to continuously improve the ecology of the cold chain industry and promote the high-quality development of the regional economy.
