The Zhongguancun Forum is a national-level platform for China's global scientific and technological innovation exchanges and cooperation, and has been successfully held for 14 sessions. Nearly 120 activities will be held, and more than 150 foreign government departments and international organizations from more than 100 countries and regions will be invited to participate in the forum.

In his opening remarks, President of the World Academy of Sciences Kharasha Abdul Karim said that science, technology and innovation play a vital role in accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. In his opening remarks, Marco Alemán, Assistant Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), said that China is a global leader in global innovation and has made important contributions to global growth and sustainable development. China ranks 12th in the Global Innovation Index 2023, with 24 of the world's top 100 technology clusters in China. According to data released by WIPO, in 2023, China remains the largest source of PCT patent applications. There was a very close cooperation between China and WIPO to promote the development of IP.
