Li Zhenhong, male, Ph.D., is a researcher at the Institute of Geomechanics of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, a master's supervisor, and the deputy director of the Quaternary Geology, Ecology and Climatology Research Office, mainly engaged in the research of sedimentary geology and oil and gas geology.
Wei Lijie, female, Ph.D., associate researcher of the Institute of Geomechanics, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, mainly engaged in paleontology and stratigraphy, tectonic evolution and paleoenvironmental response, has been to Antarctica twice for scientific investigation, and is fortunate to be the first female scientific research team member in China to enter the Antarctic inland from land.
Popularization of science knowledge
Mr. Li started from the two aspects of personal experience and geological investigation, and brought an in-depth and illustrated popular science lecture to the students - "The Magical Rice Tanggou". The explanations are professional, practical and interesting. At the same time, Mr. Li also told the students with his personal experience that as long as they pay, they will be rewarded, which inspired them to be down-to-earth and persevering in their studies and lives.
Mr. Wei presented a professional and interesting lecture to the students from the four sections of "Understanding Antarctica", "Pursuing History", "Understanding the Current Situation" and "Personal Experience" - "Exploring the Mysteries of Antarctica". It aroused great interest among students. Mr. Wei also introduced the main process of China's polar expedition. As early as 1984, the mainland established the "Great Wall Station", and currently there are Zhongshan Station, Kunlun Station, Taishan Station, and Ross Sea New Station. The Antarctic Research Station provides a number of research sites for Chinese scientists and scientific research groups.
