Seeing the troops of the national army leaving them, the hearts of the people in the city were about to jump to their throats, and they knew that once the Japanese invaders entered the city, they would inevitably be trampled on by the Japanese devils.
Just when everyone didn't know what to do, a merchant named Sun Cunren shouted loudly in the street, asking the people in the city to put up lanterns and raise flags to welcome the arrival of the Japanese army.
