A Chinese couple was killed in Japan and their bodies were charred in the shape of a cross, which has attracted widespread attention in recent days.

Yesterday (April 25), Nandu reporters learned that investigators found blood stains on the murdered wife in the garage of a house in Tokyo, speculating that the couple was beaten in this house before their death, and then stuffed into the car, and then dumped their bodies. Earlier, a man turned himself in but denied any involvement in the crime, saying that he had been entrusted with the preparation of a car and portable gasoline cans. The investigative department believes that there are other people involved in the case.

Today (26th), investigators once again disclosed the latest progress of the investigation. Nandu reporters learned that the suspect Hirayama Ayaken said that he received a reward after the incident, and that he had tried to contact the two people he entrusted with the crime before turning himself in, but he was not contacted, and the relevant departments are ascertaining the whereabouts and identities of the two people.

Ryutaro, a 55-year-old Japanese Chinese who runs more than a dozen restaurants in Ueno, Tokyo, has said he has deep pockets. Investigators revealed that the couple often rode bicycles together around the neighborhood of the restaurant they operated, and Takushima Ryutaro sometimes got into disputes with people over the restaurant's operation.

It is reported that Ryutaro Takushima runs more than a dozen restaurants in Ueno, Tokyo. Investigators revealed that people who knew Ryutaro Takushima said that the employees at his store "often seem to have disputes with other stores over problems such as stealing customers."

On the 25th, a local Chinese told a reporter from Nandu that on the 19th local time, when he went to the restaurant next to the restaurant run by Ryutaro Takushima and his wife, "I felt that the atmosphere was weird", and the clerk said that the owner of the barbecue restaurant next to him was killed a few days ago and was not safe recently, so he was advised not to go out at night.

The surveillance screen shows that at about 21:15 local time on April 15, Takushima Ryutaro pushed a bicycle through the downtown area of Ueno, and then met with his 56-year-old wife Sachiko Takashima. At about 21:30, the two drove a rented car from Ueno, Tokyo to Higashinagawa, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo. Surveillance footage also shows that before getting on the bus, Takushima Ryutaro was walking with a man who later appeared in Higashinagawa.

At about 6:50 local time on the 16th, the bodies of Takushima Ryutaro and his wife were found by the river on a forest path in Nasu Town, Tochigi Prefecture. Witnesses said that the two bodies overlapped in a cross shape, white smoke rose from the periphery of the bodies, and flames rose about 30 centimeters from the abdomen of the bodies.

The suspect turned himself in

But denied involvement in the murder

On the morning of the day after the incident, Ayaken Hirayama, a 25-year-old construction worker living in Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture, went to a police booth in Tokyo and turned himself in. After that, the joint investigation headquarters composed of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and the Tochigi Prefectural Police arrested him on suspicion of burning and damaging his body, and sent him to the prosecutor's office on the 22nd local time.

Investigators found blood stains in the garage of a house in Tokyo, as well as the driver's license of Ryutaro Takashima's wife in Hirayama's car, as well as blood stains in the trunk and back seat of the car. DNA identification confirmed that the bloodstains belonged to Sachiko Takashima, Ryutaro Takaishima's wife.

As a result, the police speculated that the couple was beaten in the house in the early morning of the 16th and then stuffed into a car. Investigators found traces of what appeared to be a dragging body between the forest trail and the riverbank, and speculated that Ryutaro Takushima and his wife were beaten before being stuffed into a car and then dumped.

Both husband and wife were suspected to have suffered suffocation due to neck compression. Japanese media reported that Sachiko Takashima still had multiple bone cracks in her head caused by beatings, and it is suspected that the murderer's killing intent towards her was stronger than that of Takushima Ryutaro.

The suspect, Ayaken Hirayama, who turned himself in, said he had been "instructed by someone" to prepare a car and portable gasoline cans, and that he had been instructed to "be a terrible person" and that he had been given a cell phone to deal with the matter. According to the police investigation, Hirayama Ayaken had purchased items such as duct tape and gasoline a few days before the incident.

He claimed that he had entrusted the matter to two acquaintances, that he had not gone to Tochigi Prefecture and that he had not participated in the killing of Takushima Ryutaro and his wife. He said he had drunk a few times with those two acquaintances, but only knew their nicknames, not their real names. Before he turned himself in, his men ordered him to return his phone, Mr. Hirayama said.

It was revealed that at about 22 o'clock on the 15th, Hirayama Ayaken met with two acquaintances near a convenience store in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, and lent them his car. At about 23 o'clock, Hirayama Ayaken left. About half an hour later, the other two left by car and picked up Ryutaro Takashima and his wife at another location in Tokyo and headed for Tochigi Prefecture.

Surveillance footage near the scene of the incident showed that at about 4 a.m. on the 16th, the car drove to the scene of the incident and left quickly about half an hour later. About two hours later, local forestry workers found two bodies burning.

The case is still under investigation, and the police believe that more than one person was involved in the matter. Controversial topics such as the overlapping of the two bodies in the shape of a cross and the fact that the deceased had a dispute with others before his death have made this matter continue to cause widespread discussion in Japanese society.

Investigators disclosed on the 26th that although Hirayama Ayaken said that he received a payment after the incident, there was no evidence to confirm the matter. Police suspect that the person who instructed Hirayama Ayaken may have taken the lead in committing the crime with the promise of a reward in advance. In addition, Hirayama said he had tried to contact the two people involved before turning himself in, but was not contacted. Authorities are investigating the whereabouts and identities of the two men.
