I am an operating room nurse, and when I first came to work, the doctor's relentless accusations and tantrums on the operating table against the nurse seriously dampened my angelic dream, and I was almost ready to change careers. After a few years of work, I should say that I have adapted to the temper of a surgeon. At the same time, from their own side, they strive to learn professional knowledge, work proactively, maintain a good work mood and personality, and always try to consider problems from the perspective of a doctor.
Now, it's a lot better to work with the doctor. But I still want to say to the doctor that respect is mutual, it is a joint effort of both parties, and although you are in a very difficult and stressful state during the operation, please maintain the self-esteem of the nurse and try to avoid the murder of your words as much as possible.
2. Trust nurses and doctors who are good at communication
I was in the emergency department, and there were a lot of doctors in rotation, but we had a very good relationship with each other. The director trusts us nurses and has a very good relationship with the head nurse, and as soon as the rotation doctors come, the director will tell them at the morning meeting that our nurses are very good and have strong emergency response capabilities. The head nurse strictly requires us to improve our business, respect the patients, and more importantly, the doctors. We are very happy together, and many doctors are nostalgic for the days of the emergency department after leaving the department, miss the good fortune of our emergency nurses, and never forget the harmonious medical relationship between the emergency department and the nurses.
3. Doctors who do not procrastinate
In the past, the department required doctors to submit medical orders before 10:30 for nurses to handle, but now some doctors can prescribe medical orders whenever they want, and they can prescribe whatever they want, regardless of whether they need to be treated urgently or not.
Nursing care is already tedious, so it is even more busy. Some of the doctor's orders could have been opened earlier, but they had to wait until the end of work, and he left after the doctor's order, not knowing that the nurse still had to deal with the doctor's order and carry out the doctor's order! If the doctor could think about it for the nurse, how good it would be to reasonably arrange the time for ward rounds and medical orders!
4. Empathetic and empathetic doctors
Nurses are actually the hardest on the medical front, they are busy every day, and they don't have the opportunity to sit during work. They work on the front line, directly facing patients, and the patients' dissatisfaction is often vented to the nurses first, they have grievances but can't lose their temper, many times I have seen them cry secretly!
Everyone grows in a continuous learning process, and there will inevitably be some mistakes in the process. An experienced nurse is definitely a good teacher and colleague for young doctors. I don't deny that I've benefited a lot, and I'm right, because the young nurses are still learning, but they are also working hard, and one day they will be our mentors and friends.
5. A responsible and responsible doctor
Once a nurse and a patient quarreled over a trivial matter, and I had an argument with the nurse (of course, it was not a big deal), at this time, I did not have emotions, communicated with the patient's family, calmed down the anger, and finally settled it. I went back and talked to the nurse to convey some of the patient's points of view to her and listen to her.
Under normal circumstances, if there is such a strong quarrel in the ward, both parties must be temperamental. So what I want to say here is that nurses/doctors should improve their self-cultivation and think more from the perspective of patients when there are disputes, frictions and other things in their work.
No matter what conflicts there are between medical care and nursing care, never bring them to work. Doctors need to have the courage to face all problems, and have the ability and patience to deal with problems, as well as a responsible attitude. When a patient thinks that the nurse does not understand anything and underestimates the nurse, the doctor must seriously correct the patient's misunderstanding. It is very important to do a good job in the relationship between doctors and nurses, which is beneficial and harmless to doctors, nurses and patients.
6. A doctor who is always grateful
As a rotating surgeon, I would say that a nurse at the supervisor level is the best teacher. I remember when I first entered the clinic, my mentor said to me earnestly, if you want to make a difference in the clinic and become a good doctor, you must first be able to become a good nurse, for you, any doctor and nurse in the clinic is your teacher, and only when you learn their advantages and have your own things, you will be the beginning of being a real doctor.
Professionally, the nurses are experienced and have a better grasp of the condition. On the other hand, in terms of doctor-patient relationship, nurses have the most contact with patients, have high insight into patients' emotions and behaviors, and are more able to deal with disputes between doctors and patients. I remember when I first started the night shift in cardiology, a patient appeared in A, and the whole process was carried out under the guidance of the nurse teacher, and the nurse at that time really took care of my self-esteem. When dealing with it, I said in front of the family: *Doctor, I have done what you said. Really appreciate this teacher!
7. A doctor who can speak fairly to nurses
I think nurses are very important! A single mistake is enough for a failure in treatment, and it is absolutely impossible for a successful treatment without capable nurses! However, at present, nursing work is not valued by hospitals and society, and the remuneration is too small, resulting in low motivation of nurses. Therefore, it is not an exaggeration to emphasize the importance of nursing, provided that their income and social status must be increased, and nurses are too pitiful!

The most important thing between doctors and nurses is mutual understanding and mutual respect, which is the premise of communication. The relationship between the department and the nurse depends largely on the department head and the head nurse.
