The Oil Lamp Museum (Changzhou) is located in the Yaji Garden on the shore of West Taihu Lake in Changzhou, and the collection is provided by Chen Lusheng, former deputy director and researcher of the National Museum. Chen Lusheng has been collecting oil lamps for more than 40 years, and has traveled all over China and many countries around the world.

The Oil Lamp Museum has a collection of more than 4,000 oil lamps, ranging from pottery beans from the Neolithic Age, to pottery oil lamps from the Han Dynasty, to modern wooden and iron oil lamps, as well as oil lamps from the ancient Roman period, Japan, and Thailand, with more than 1,500 pieces on display.

Chen Lusheng Xiansheng's graduation thesis is "On the Study of Two Pairs of Main Gods in the Han Dynasty God Paintings", he has a soft spot for oil lamps on this kind of theme, and the Oil Lamp Museum has 7 oil lamps about the Queen Mother of the West, including 13 and 11 such fine works. The thirteen pottery lanterns of the Queen Mother of the West show the aesthetic taste of the people of the Han Dynasty and the fashion of the time with the images of the pillars of heaven, the sun, the moon, the Queen Mother of the West, the guards, the bear, the tree, the dragon and the tiger, the immortals, and the phoenix bird.

Among the so many oil lamps on display in the museum, the treasure of the town hall should be several large Han Dynasty oil lamps, including a thirteen-headed West Queen Mother oil lamp, two eleven-headed Han Dynasty oil lamps, and a Han Dynasty pottery seven-head oil lamp, and more than 100 Han Dynasty oil lamps will be placed in the exhibition hall. The discovery of this type of oil lamp further shows that the shape of the Han Dynasty oil lamp adopts the image of the ancestral gods of the Han Dynasty immortal society, which is universal.
