In order to enhance industry self-discipline, standardize operation and management, and maintain the stability of hotel and homestay accommodation prices during the "May Day" holiday, on April 25, the Longting District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau and the District Bureau of Commerce convened representatives of the hotel accommodation industry in their respective jurisdictions to hold a symposium on the integrity of the hotel accommodation industry, Wu Junhua, deputy director of the Longting District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, Ma Kang, deputy director of the District Bureau of Commerce, and representatives of more than 20 hotel accommodation enterprises in the district participated.
At the meeting, Wu Junhua asked the hotel accommodation industry to strengthen industry self-discipline and do a good job of clearly marking prices during the holiday, introducing several negative examples in the form of case explanations, explaining the law with cases, and fully explaining the binding and mandatory provisions of the law. At the same time, it said that the District Market Supervision Bureau will strengthen price supervision, and will launch an interview mechanism if it finds unreasonable prices, and increase the punishment for violations of laws and regulations. Ma Kang requires operators to attach great importance to fire safety, ensure that fire passages are unblocked, actively carry out fire safety emergency drills, and protect the safety of tourists' lives and property.
At the meeting, the "Kaifeng Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau 2024 "May Day" Market Price Behavior Reminder and Warning Letter was issued and signed, and the total number of rooms in each hotel, the number of rooms booked, the usual accommodation price and the price during the holiday, and whether the operating cost during the holiday period has increased.
In the next step, the Longting District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau will increase the intensity of law enforcement inspections during the "May Day" Labor Day, continue to carry out market price inspections, smooth consumer complaint and reporting channels, investigate and deal with cases of price violations in accordance with the law, and make every effort to create a harmonious and orderly market atmosphere and effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
