At the end of March 2022, the national unified medical insurance information platform was fully completed. The platform has a total of 14 subsystems, with an average settlement response of about 0.8 seconds, an average performance improvement of 3 to 5 times, access to about 400,000 designated medical institutions and 400,000 designated retail pharmacies, covering 1.34 billion insured people across the country. On this basis, positive progress has been made in medical insurance convenience services.
Online medical insurance services are more diverse. The national medical insurance service platform (including network hall and APP) has opened service modules such as medical insurance code, cross-provincial and remote medical treatment filing, medical insurance information inquiry, medical insurance mobile payment, and local characteristic service area, which can provide online comprehensive services such as information inquiry, business handling, and treatment application for the insured people. The real-name users of the platform reached 450 million.
It is more convenient to see a doctor and buy medicine with a medical insurance code. Since last year, we have continued to carry out the activity of "going through the process and finding the blockage" for the use of the medical insurance code nationwide, mobilizing medical insurance departments at all levels and designated medical institutions to accelerate the promotion of the medical insurance code from only available in the settlement link to the whole process of appointment registration, sign-in for treatment, diagnosis and treatment, report inquiry, pharmacy pick-up, etc., so as to reduce the waiting time in line and improve the experience of seeing a doctor and buying medicine. At present, there are more than 1.12 billion users of the medical insurance code in China, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps have supported its use, and more than 800,000 designated medical institutions have been accessed, with a cumulative settlement of more than 6 billion.
Medical insurance convenience services continue to innovate. The medical insurance department is building a "three electronic and two payment" service system for the convenience of medical insurance, including medical insurance code (medical insurance electronic voucher), medical insurance electronic bill, medical insurance electronic prescription, medical insurance mobile payment, medical insurance trusted payment, etc., connecting the whole process of medical treatment and drug purchase, forming a full closed loop of service optimization, and promoting a new upgrade of service experience. In addition, it will also explore and promote the combination of offline settlement, digital yuan and medical insurance services, promote the effective connection between medical care and medical insurance services, and create a more three-dimensional and diversified medical insurance convenience service ecology in the near future, so as to enhance the public's sense of access to medical insurance with high-quality services.
