On April 25, Fenggang County held the 2024 Beef Cattle Industry Investment Promotion and Industrial Integration Development Report Conference, with the goal of gathering "cattle people", drumming up "cattle energy", seeking "cattle affairs", and developing the "cattle industry".

Zhang Zhengwei said that Fenggang cattle are "ecological cattle" with planting and breeding cycles, green and healthy, Fenggang cattle are "snowflake cattle" with mellow taste and endless aftertaste, Fenggang cattle are "science and technology cattle" with digital empowerment and intelligent management, and Fenggang cattle is a "rich cattle" that is connected to the whole chain and is gaining momentum.

The reporter learned on the spot that in accordance with the development idea of "raising land with livestock and determining livestock by land", Fenggang County vigorously carried out the production of silage from grain to feed, and introduced policies to support enterprises to improve the grass planting on barren hills and grasses, so that the spring forage has silage and autumn forage has fresh feed, forming a beef cattle feeding model of "silage + green fodder + concentrate feed", and fully implementing the development model of "planting and breeding, tea and cattle integration, and ecological cycle", and achieved good economic and social benefits. At present, the county has planted 68,000 acres of pasture, declared 500 organic beef cattle certification, 1,900 green beef cattle certification, and has 19 qualified product enterprises and cooperatives.

Chengwei Fenggang County actively explores the smart cattle breeding model, promotes the intelligence, refinement and specialization of the cattle industry with informatization, and creates a smart beef cattle breeding platform with Fenggang Mountain characteristics, and realizes the integrated management of beef cattle feeding, raising and marketing through "big data + AI + Internet of Things + blockchain technology", promotes the deep integration of the industrial chain and value chain, and realizes the whole process of cattle raising tracking services. At present, 13 family farms have applied the smart beef cattle breeding platform.
Fenggang cattle are the "rich cattle" that are connected to the whole chain and are full of momentum. At present, Fenggang County is focusing on the key links of the beef cattle industry, making up for the shortcomings of the chain, enriching the beef cattle format, and strengthening the beef cattle brand. It has built 5 standardized beef cattle farms at or above the municipal level and 25 standardized beef cattle farms with more than 100 heads; built the largest livestock trading market in Northeast Guizhou with an annual trading volume of 100,000 heads, and a "Guizhou Cattle Out of the Mountain" slaughterhouse with an annual slaughter volume of 50,000 heads; developed beef deep-processed products and pet snack products, and realized the transformation of cattle by-products into treasure and premium value-added. In Beijing, Kunming, Shanghai, Guiyang and other places, 13 Fenggang beef experience stores, 87 fresh meat sales stores, and 502 beef tertiary service enterprises inside and outside the county, beef products have successfully entered the village BA, village super and other large-scale event sales market.
Set breeding, market, deep processing, catering, sales as one of the whole beef cattle industry chain, Fenggang County has 139,600 beef cattle stock, 50,400 slaughter, a comprehensive output value of 2.2 billion yuan, beef cattle industry breeding scale ranks first in Zunyi, second in Guizhou, by the provincial party committee and provincial government as the province's beef cattle industry development key counties to give key support.
