In 2008, a man in Canada published a book called "The Inner Ghost", which shocked the world. Although the author calls it a novel, the content of the book is actually based on real experience, and the author of this book used to be a secret agent.
In the book, the author tells the story of how a man named "Larry King" was embedded in the CIA for decades and delivered intelligence to China.
According to the analysis of relevant sources, the prototype of this "Larry King" is Jin Wuxi, who once served as director of the US East Asia Policy Research Office and has worked in the CIA for many years.
It is rumored that Jin Wuxian has been transmitting valuable intelligence to China in the United States for decades. During his work in the United States, Jin Wuxian was very deeply hidden, and almost no one suspected that he had a special identity.
In 1981, when Jin Wuxian retired, he also received a medal from the CIA for his outstanding performance at work.
After his retirement, because of his outstanding work ability, he was also retained in the CIA as a consultant. But to the surprise of Americans, such an excellent employee has always had a Chinese heart.
If Kim Wuxian is so hidden in the United States, how did he find out? This is related to a defection incident in 1987.
"Real" him, real spy war
In 1987, in order to hunt down the defector Yu Qiangsheng, the Ministry of State Security spent a lot of effort and even issued a global hunt order.
So after we put down the net, what fate did Yu Qiangsheng face in the end, and why did he choose to defect at that time?

Among the rumors about Yu Qiangsheng, it is said that the reason why Yu Qiangsheng was plotted against was related to Li Jieming, an executive of the CIA at the time, who was in charge of intelligence work against China at that time and worked in many countries in East Asia.
After 1973, because China and the United States set up liaison offices, Li Jieming also became an American agent who entered China.
Later, because of the exposure of his identity, Li Jieming was forced to leave.
Because of his excellent work, after his retirement, he also held a position in the White House, and later moved to Taipei to become the director of the U.S. Office in Taiwan.
According to relevant sources, Yu Qiangsheng was instigated to rebel between 1981 and 1982, that is, during Li Jieming's work in the White House and Taipei.
Although judging from this experience, it was not Li Jieming who directly rebelled against Yu Qiangsheng, but according to the work that Li Jieming was in charge of at that time, he also participated in the CIA's Far East intelligence work, and from this point of view, Yu Qiangsheng's work of rebellion also has a certain relationship with Li Jieming.
It is rumored that the main source of the book "The Inner Ghost" is Li Jieming, which shows that Li Jieming was deeply involved in the intelligence work at that time, and whether it was plotting against Yu Qiangsheng or catching Jin Wuxian, he had "merit".
It is said that at that time, the Beijing Hotel cooperated with Hong Kong businessmen to carry out the expansion work, and Yu Qiangsheng was in charge of the relevant work, because it was related to foreign parties, and Yu Qiangsheng was sent to participate in the work at that time, which shows that he still had great trust in him.
But among the foreign staff at that time, there was a Taiwanese woman surnamed Yang, whose real identity was an agent of the Far East Station.
The two met because of this opportunity and had a relationship. The other party took this as a threat and hoped that Yu Qiangsheng would provide information, so Yu Qiangsheng embarked on the road of no return.
The truth about missing the inner demon
In the book "Inner Ghost", it is also introduced how Yu Qiangsheng discovered Jin Wuxi's identity. After Yu Qiangsheng, who was already serving in the Ministry of State Security at that time, was rebelled, he was collecting intelligence every day, and there were agents within the Ministry of State Security who were responsible for mastering the information of agents operating in North America.
At first, Yu Qiangsheng knew that the agent's work could provide him with a lot of information, so he paid close attention to the agent's movements and the documents he handled.
Until one day, he saw in the information that Jin Wuxian was not only an agent lurking in the CIA, but also gave a detailed description of the time and specific itinerary of Jin Wuxian's arrival in Hong Kong and Macau, as well as which hotel Jin Wuxian would live in after his arrival, so Yu Qiangsheng began to provide the United States with news about Jin Wuxian, which led to Jin Wuxian's arrest later.
But some people say that the reason why Jin Wuxian was discovered by Yu Qiangsheng was because Jin Wuxian had secretly returned to Beijing at that time, and Yu Qiangsheng had been rebelled at that time, when he saw Jin Wuxian in the Ministry of State Security, and also participated in the task of receiving Jin Wuxian, so he knew Jin Wuxian's true identity.
Some people say that Yu Qiangsheng was in a hurry to leave because of the liquidation around 81 to 84, but at that time, Yu Qiangsheng's career was in full swing, and he even entered the candidate list of deputy director, and it seems that the future is very bright, and it is obviously not because of this problem that he left in such a hurry.
In fact, if you think about it carefully, you can think of the approximate reason, if Yu Qiangsheng is very hidden, it will naturally be more useful to stay in the Ministry of State Security, and he will not defect in a hurry. Moreover, after he becomes deputy director, he will provide more information to the CIA, and the US side will not agree to his easy departure.
But apparently Yu Qiangsheng's departure was helped by the CIA, so it is likely that Yu Qiangsheng has been exposed.
According to relevant analysis, the reason why Yu Qiangsheng was determined to leave was because before he was ready to leave, the National Security Bureau had already noticed the problem of intelligence leakage and was ready to look for the problem internally.
Yu Qiangsheng sensed that the wind was wrong, so he proposed to the CIA the idea of leaving China, and it was with the assistance of the CIA that Yu Qiangsheng was able to leave smoothly.
It is said that in April 1984, when Yu Qiangsheng was the director of the Foreign Affairs Bureau, he went to Hebei to visit his nursing mother and asked for leave from the unit.
After leaving Beijing smoothly, he appeared from the southern coastal areas according to the route provided by the CIA, and did not leave the country through regular customs. At that time, the relevant departments did not know that Yu Qiangsheng's nursing mother had actually passed away for many years.
Yu Qiangsheng's defection is a very serious matter, it is reported that after his defection in 1987, he was hunted down by the whole world, and it is said that although Yu Qiangsheng was protected by the United States, he was still caught while escaping and drowned in the sea.
However, some people have put forward different opinions, and some sources say that because in the era of Premier Zhou, a rule has been established not to engage in political assassination activities.
So in the world intelligence community, we are obviously more civilized about what foreign intelligence agencies do.
In the book "The Inner Ghost", Yu Qiangsheng was not assassinated later, but after coming to the United States, he remained incognito and has been under the protection of the CIA.
The ending of Kim Wuxian
In fact, there are various opinions about Yu Qiangsheng's fate, which is actually related to the different positions of the two hairs. Although the book "The Inner Ghost" introduces the previous intelligence information, some of the content may not be completely true due to the identity of the author and the identity of the source.
There is also no relevant news to confirm the claim that Yu Qiangsheng drowned in the sea, so Yu Qiangsheng's whereabouts have become a mystery.
However, there is a theory that judging from the previous handling of the incident of the US authorities being killed in the line of duty, Yu Qiangsheng may really be under the strict protection of the US authorities.
Because before this, when the American agent was assassinated overseas, the United States' retaliation was very obvious, and in the incident of Yu Qiangsheng's death on the Internet, Sino-US relations are actually quite delicate, so if Yu Qiangsheng is killed at this time, it will inevitably have a huge impact, and the United States will have a stronger reaction.
Regardless of Yu's ultimate fate, his decision to send Jin Wuxian high and abscond to the United States is at the heart of the book "The Inner Ghost," and it is clear that this incident is real.
When Yu Qiangsheng provided information about Jin Wuxian, according to the introduction in the book, in 1985, the relevant US departments found Jin Wuxian's home.
At that time, American agents told Jin Wuxian that they were investigating a case of leaking classified information to Chinese intelligence services, and wanted to ask Jin Wuxian a few questions.
Six hours later, Jin Wuxian was arrested. The charge is that during his service in the CIA, he stole a large amount of intelligence and handed it over to China, and was a Chinese spy embedded in the CIA.
Three months after Kim's arrest, he was found guilty of suicide in prison.
In the book "Inner Ghost", not only Yu Qiangsheng's identity is introduced in detail, but also the process of Jin Wuxian's arrest and interrogation, the details of which are thought-provoking.
The United States has never stopped infiltrating foreign countries, especially in the treatment of China and the Soviet Union at that time, defectors like Yu Qiangsheng and sinners of the country, and to this day there are still people like him who have embarked on the road of no return.
Regardless of Yu Qiangsheng's ultimate fate, whether he drowned in the sea or changed his name and surname in some American village, in the hearts of the Chinese, such a traitor must be fixed on the pillar of national shame.
Maybe Yu Qiangsheng will also regret and spend the rest of his life constantly repenting of the crimes he committed, but his story is a good warning for us.
National traitors are intolerable to countless Chinese people, and we must always be vigilant in both war and peacetime.
