NIO's battery swap station shined at the auto show, attracting everyone's attention and being creative and convenient for tram users. It is an innovation in charging and swapping.
NIO's battery swap stations have the following innovations in charging and swapping:
- Launched the "Flexible Battery Upgrade Service by Day": It supports remote return and nationwide return in one place, providing users with greater convenience and choice.
- It is planned to launch the "one-stop parking" function: so that car owners can complete the battery swap in the car without reversing multiple times to enter the battery swap station, further improving the user's battery swap experience.
- Released 20kW V2G charging stations: not only with fast charging, but also with the addition of a discharge function, so that electric vehicles can absorb power when the grid load is low and release power when the grid load is high, to help the grid peak and frequency regulation.
- Construction of high-speed photovoltaic storage, charging and discharging integrated battery swap station: The station can not only provide charging and swapping services for vehicles, but also respond to the grid dispatching instructions and reverse discharge the power grid, thereby improving the stability of the power grid.
- Optimized the battery swap process: The battery swap action is synchronized with part of the self-test process, which shortens the battery swap time.
- Increased the number of battery packs: increased from 13 in the second generation to 21 in the third generation, effectively alleviating the waiting time of users under high battery swap loads.
- Improve the compatibility of battery swap stations: It can support different platforms and brands, and can be compatible with 800V electrical architecture, ensuring that the batteries in the station can be effectively replenished.
- Add fast charging piles: Compared with overcharging stations with the same capacity and area, it can increase the full-load service capacity by 1.6-2 times or even more than 2 times.
