In March 2011, in order to express his deep nostalgia to his teacher for the last time, Guo Degang, together with his wife Wang Hui, his best friend Yu Qian, and all the disciples of Deyun Club, came to the tomb of Mr. Hou Yaowen to pay respects.
When he saw the photo of his mentor, tears welled up in his eyes like a flood. Guo Degang knelt on his knees, stared at his master's face for a long time, and said bitterly: "Master, I'm late......" Immediately after, he led the disciples behind him to kneel in front of Hou Yaowen's tomb, and the wail resounded in the sky.
In this way, Guo Degang prostrated under his teacher's tombstone for a long time, unwilling to leave, until Yu Qian helped him up. After the memorial ceremony, Guo Degang still reluctantly looked at the bronze statue of the master, recalling the tireless teachings of Mr. Hou Yaowen in the past three years.
Faced with the death of his teacher, Guo Degang firmly vowed to carry forward the ancient art of cross talk.
He solemnly welcomed Mr. Hou Yaowen's smart and heroic posthumous photos into the backstage of Deyun Club. There, it is the sacred place where he worships his teacher and inherits his teacher's will. There, Guo Degang often stared at the posthumous photos, recalled the earnest teachings of the master during his lifetime, and used them as a mirror to motivate himself and forge ahead.
This deep friendship between master and apprentice has gone beyond the ordinary teacher-student relationship and has been sublimated into a spiritual bond that closely links their hearts.
