In order to temper the flood control team, test the flood control results, and build a solid safety line of defense during the flood season, on April 23, the Guanshanhu District Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau co-ordinated, the District Municipal Engineering Management Office implemented the specific implementation, and the District Environmental Sanitation Management Institute cooperated to carry out the 2024 urban flood control emergency drill.
The background of the drill is that the Guanshan Lake District has been raining continuously within 24 hours, and the precipitation has been more than 80mm, and the heavy rainfall has caused a large area of water accumulation in the low-lying area of Jinhu Road (near Guiyang Purui School) in the jurisdiction, which seriously affects the traffic of vehicles and pedestrians.
The district municipal office immediately activated the emergency plan and rushed to the scene to deal with it. At the scene, the working groups such as street lamp leakage detection, water pumping, pipeline dredging and other working groups and the garbage cleaning team of the district sanitation institute performed their duties to deal with the waterlogged area by conducting safety tests on whether the street lamps were leaking, cleaning up the garbage at the water grate inlet of the waterlogged road section, manually uncovering the water inlet cover, using dredging equipment to dredge the blocked pipes, and operating drainage equipment to discharge the stagnant water, so as to reduce the occurrence of potential safety hazards.
Through the concerted efforts of several working groups, the large-scale water accumulation in the low-lying area of Jinhu Road (near Guiyang Purui School) was successfully eliminated and traffic was restored.
It is understood that the flood control time of Guanshan Lake District is from May 1 to October 31, in order to scientifically implement flood control scheduling, emergency rescue and disaster relief, and ensure the social and economic development of the whole district, Guanshan Lake District has formulated the "Guanshan Lake District 2024 Urban Flood Control Emergency Plan", and has successively set up an emergency flood prevention work leading group with the relevant county-level leaders of the district as the team leader, and the heads of various functional departments and streets as members. The six special work emergency response groups for traffic order maintenance and the emergency response teams for flood control work in each street carried out flood prevention work to ensure safe flooding.
