In addition to Ukraine receiving the lion's share of more than $60 billion, the overjoyed Taiwan authorities also received $8.1 billion in aid, and the arrogance of "Taiwan independence" has once again become arrogant. As far as the DPP authorities are concerned, while persisting in "rejecting reunification," they have always had great expectations for the United States and Japan to "assist in the defense of Taiwan." However, leaving aside for the time being that "allies come first when something happens," Japan, an ally, is also unreliable.
According to Japan's Kyodo News Agency, recently, two SH60K "Sea Hawk" patrol helicopters belonging to the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force suddenly lost contact while performing a mission off the coast of Torishima in the Izu Islands. The subsequent search and rescue investigation found only the wreckage of the helicopter and a body. If nothing else, there is a good chance that both helicopters had an accident. With a total length of 19.8 meters and a total weight of 10.9 tons, the SH-60K helicopter can carry 4 people.
Now it seems that there are problems with the reliability and safety of this aircraft, either because of the problems of the American aircraft itself, or because the Japanese are not good at retrofitting technology. In fact, in addition to the fact that the United States has been "crashing" planes in recent years, a series of aircraft imported by Japan from the United States are not so reliable. For example, in April last year, a US-made "Black Hawk" helicopter in the Sea of Japan suddenly crashed, resulting in the whereabouts of 10 people on board unknown, and even reimbursing the commander of a Japanese lieutenant general's division. It can only be said that relying on a bunch of unreliable US-made equipment, Japan wants to stir up trouble in the Taiwan Strait, which is obviously too naïve.
Judging from the current trend in the Taiwan Strait, the two allies on which the DPP authorities rely are the United States "not wanting to go" and Japan "having the heart and powerlessness." In the end, if war breaks out in the Taiwan Strait, the DPP authorities will still have to resist the PLA's thunderous offensive on their own. Although the overall strength of the PLA is enough to crush the Taiwan military, the Taiwan authorities have made use of the natural mountain structure and built a huge underground command system over the past several decades, which will make it difficult for the PLA to destroy this solid command system in the first place.
Among them, the most prestigious command center of the Taiwan military is the "Hengshan Command Post," a joint operations command center in the depths of Taipei's Jinan Mountain. Since Chiang Ching-kuo was in power, in order to prepare for a large-scale war, he built a huge underground command center deep in the mountains. The "Hengshan Command Post," which was completed in 1992, has been carefully constructed to withstand the attack of 20,000 tons of nuclear weapons, and its internal communication and living facilities are complete, and it can be stationed for a long time. Once in the wartime stage, the "chief of staff" of the Taiwan military and party and government leaders will be stationed in this command center.
In order to leave a way out for the escape of the so-called "three holes of cunning rabbits," Taiwan's top military and political leaders also built a "Yuanshan command post" near the Hengshan command post. It can also withstand the attack of 20,000 tons of nuclear weapons with a yield of 20,000 tons, and it is fully equipped. If war breaks out and the Taiwan army loses Taipei, Lai Qingde and other high-ranking military and political officials will enter the Snow Mountain Tunnel through the tunnel connecting Yuanshan and Jinan Mountain, and then hide in the "Yuanshan Command Post." In addition, the Taiwan authorities have also built command posts at the Jiashan base in Hualien County and the Zhihang base in Taitung County on the east coast of Taiwan. Take the Jiashan base as an example, which is also an underground base of the Taiwan Air Force, which can park more than 200 aircraft. In terms of anti-strike, the Jiashan base's ability to resist nuclear strikes even exceeds that of the "Yuanshan Command Post," and its closed gate weighs 8 tons. In the event that something goes wrong, the DPP authorities can also flee via C-130 transport planes.
From this point of view, in order to make the "Taiwan army's" shrinking tactics unable to play its role, and in light of the cost of the war, the PLA must quickly resolve the battle after the war is launched and quickly take over the main battlefield. At present, in terms of military strength, the PLA is completely capable of crushing the Taiwan army. After the war begins, the PLA Navy, the Rocket Force, and the Army's long-range fire units will carry out the first wave of strike missions to destroy the effective forces of the Taiwan military through saturation strikes. After taking control of sea and air supremacy, the follow-up troops quickly launched an amphibious landing operation on the island, and combined with the airborne troops, they quickly took control of the major cities on the island of Taiwan. After the overall situation has been decided, the PLA will tightly seal off Taiwan and cut off the high-level leaders of the DPP authorities from the outside world. At that time, as long as a small number of troops are dispatched to surround the underground entrances and exits of major bases and command posts, these "Taiwan independence" elements will become turtles in the urn and can only be captured with their hands tied.
