  This is the first time I have participated in an outdoor development activity, and when the whole class of Class 23 of CUHK came to Panyu Outdoor Development Base, I learned that development training is a training activity that comes from challenging the limit, which can stimulate people's fighting spirit, stimulate potential ability, and creatively give full play to people's team ability. "Outward bound training" is a new learning method and training method for modern people and modern organizations.

  After the training, I felt more deeply the difference between outdoor outward bound training and military training. Military training is to make us better know how to abide by discipline and obey orders, outdoor development training is to make students understand the importance of teamwork, strengthen the sense of honor and disgrace and belonging of the trainee team, clear positioning and responsibility in the individual team, master communication skills, improve communication skills, strengthen the sense of competition, smelt the spirit of teamwork, strengthen self-confidence and master the ability to coordinate various relationships, stimulate their potential, and enthusiastically devote themselves to team training.

  Although it is only a short two days, the inspiration and experience given to us by the outward bound training is a permanent spiritual wealth, no matter what position we are in, as long as we experience it with our hearts, we can get very beneficial and life insights.

  From the beginning of the training, our team members have actively contributed to almost all the projects of "high-altitude tightrope", "rowing and capturing the flag", "100,000 urgent" and "graduation wall", and are working hard to achieve the same goal. There is no estrangement and self-centeredness, and we help and cooperate with each other. I believe that after this short period of outdoor outreach, all the students of CUHK Class 23 can hold hands tightly and support each other like a tightrope in space, and we will be able to become a group with strong competitiveness.

  This is my first outward bound training, I was not very clear about the outward bound training before, through the introduction of the coach, I realized that this kind of training is a test of people's will and wisdom, tap people's potential, cultivate teamwork spirit of sports, but it does not completely belong to the category of sports. Due to time constraints, we didn't participate in many projects, but it was these activities that made me realize the importance of teamwork. It can be said that there should be a lot of gains from all aspects.

  On the morning of the first day of training, all our trainees listened to the brief explanation of the relevant situation and the expectations of the teacher of the base in the training room of the Wright Hotel, and we began to warm up before the training. The content of the warm-up is to divide into groups, name the group, design the slogan, team emblem, and create the team song. Our group estimates that there are many vegetarians, so we named ourselves "Vegetable Team", and the names of other groups are also very good, "Yangtze River No. 7", "King Kong Team", everyone's nickname is written directly on the chest, at that time, I found out that in fact, people who usually look dull and dull, the nickname is quite humorous.

  The most memorable project was "Puzzle Tangram", which divided us into 7 teams, one of which was the command group, under which each team had to complete the task of their own puzzle first, and also complete the task of the whole group (which is also the task with the heaviest score). However, because we did not have good communication at the beginning, the command team did not carry out the task command due to the poor understanding, each team went its own way, the captain did not play a leadership role, everyone said a word, the scene was chaotic, one of our team members even began to get emotional, although in the end we had a little clue, but unfortunately the time was not enough, and the mission ended in failure. This task should not only consider the rational command and deployment of leaders, but also the mutual cooperation and communication between various groups. It's a pity that in the beginning, we went in the wrong direction.

  There are also tasks such as "Jiaolong going to sea", "absolute trust", "climbing over the graduation wall" and other tasks have given me a lot of inspiration and understanding, this outward bound training left a deep impression on me, and the knowledge and experience obtained are also very rich, to sum up, there are the following points:

  1. Hierarchical management and clear leadership are extremely important. After each person's job responsibilities are determined, each performs its own duties, which is conducive to clarifying responsibilities and giving full play to the subjective initiative of individuals, so that they can not only know what they should do, but also think about how to do it well. When doing the collective development project, everyone was still able to listen to the captain's arrangement at first, and only said some opinions, but after a little longer, they couldn't bear it, jumped out, and commanded, which affected the development of other comrades' talents and caused chaos in the situation.

  2. Do things first to make a plan, and then carry out actions. This is the principle of "sharpening the knife and not cutting wood", when doing the power grid project, we are not in a hurry to cross the network, but everyone finds their own position, fully demonstrates, and finally passes.

  3. You should learn to empathize when you encounter problems. In the work, do not be bothered by the superficial phenomenon, some impressions are actually subjective conjectures, which require your patience and wisdom, through analysis and judgment, to fully understand its essence, through organization, coordination to achieve the goal, through communication, in order to establish a win-win situation.

  4. We also get lessons and enlightenment from failures: in the work, all units need to communicate and share information, cooperate and coordinate with each other, and form an integration of forces to complete the common task.

  5. This training program tells us: challenge ourselves, there is nothing impossible, don't say "no" easily, re-understand ourselves, and surpass ourselves.

  The same piece of iron can be sawn and melted and lost, or it can be refined into steel; The same team can do nothing or achieve great things. Whether it is the "trust back fall" from a height of 2 meters and falling on the human bed that the students have built with their own bodies, the students have deeply realized the importance of trust and unity - to overcome their own fears with trust in others, and to be a person worthy of the trust of others while trusting others, so that they can unite in mutual trust to achieve the goal in their hearts. Or the blindfolded "blind phalanx" in which all the students accurately found their own positioning through a rope, which fully tested the students' communication skills and how to give full play to their roles. Our team completed the task of "getting out of the minefield", and this project made us deeply realize how important it is for us to complete the collective task with strong leadership, reasonable planning, strict organization, unity and cooperation, and strict implementation.   I was fortunate to participate in the outdoor development training activities organized by the organization, which is an outdoor activity to improve team cohesion and reflect the spirit of teamwork.   The first project of the outward bound training, "High-altitude Broken Bridge", requires the team members to climb on the 8-meter-high wooden broken bridge and jump from one side to the other, with a space span of about 1.5 meters, and then jump back to complete it.   The most touching project of this outward bound training is the final climb of the "graduation wall", when we see this wall, everyone is discussing, feeling that it is an impossible task, thinking that it will take at least half an hour, an hour, or even longer, but the Wen team proposed to complete it within 10 minutes, everyone was surprised, in the collective efforts we finally achieved the results of climbing twice in 13 minutes, at that moment we felt the glory and pride of victory, and some people shed tears. With the coach's order, the first partner successfully climbed to the top of the wall through the human ladder, and then quickly went to meet the next partner who stepped on the human ladder.
