On the 24th local time, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) posted a video on social media. In this video released by Hamas on the 24th, the man claimed that he had been detained in the Gaza Strip for about 200 days. The day before, the conflict between Israel and Hamas entered its 200th day.

According to AFP, Israel estimates that about 250 people were detained in the Gaza Strip as a result of the October 7 attack last year, and about 129 people remain unreleased, 34 of whom may have died.
