After receiving the order, the Anti-Wire Fraud Center of the Jiang'an Branch immediately applied for a protective stop payment on Ms. Ye's personal bank account, and simultaneously distributed the order to the Tazihu Police Station to notify the police to carry out publicity and dissuasion work. The police immediately rushed to Ms. Ye's house and found that she was not there, so they immediately called again. Ms. Ye said that because her boyfriend urgently needed a sum of money to end an overseas construction project, she was applying for a loan and a mortgage on her property to prepare to remit money for emergency relief.
Mistaking the dissuasion of police officers for "fake police"
"You may have met a scammer, don't send money!" The police dissuaded Ms. Ye on the phone, asking her to tell her specific location and meet for a detailed discussion. However, Ms. Ye was convinced of the identity of her overseas boyfriend, and she couldn't listen to the persuasion of the police and hung up the phone.
Later, the police repeatedly called Ms. Ye's phone but the other party hung up, and adding WeChat friends was also refused. The police sent her a typical case of fake dating fraud through MMS, and tried various methods to dissuade her, but to no avail.
At about 8 o'clock the next morning, the police from the police station went to Ms. Ye's residence again. She refused to open the door at home. Through the door, the police communicated with Ms. Ye for more than an hour. As a result, Ms. Ye actually dialed the 110 police number, saying that she had encountered a fake policeman.
After receiving the police, the police of the Houhu Avenue Police Station of the Jiang'an District Bureau of the Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau immediately came to the door. After confirming the true identity of the police at the police station, Ms. Ye opened the door.

In February 2024, her "boyfriend", who claimed to be doing engineering in Belgium, suddenly informed Ms. Ye that he was seriously ill and that the project urgently needed to pay a liquidated damages of 500,000 yuan before he could return to Australia for surgery. In order to help the other party tide over the difficulties, Ms. Ye rushed to apply for a loan and mortgage the property.
After carefully checking the marriage certificate in the photo, the police found that it was greasy, and asked Ms. Ye: "Look, how can the Australian marriage certificate be printed with the official seal of the United States? There must be something wrong with this!" Ms. Ye checked carefully, and sure enough, she found that something was wrong, and then she woke up and realized that she had met a liar.
The police proposed that Ms. Ye immediately release the mortgage, and then accompanied her to the Jiang'an District Government Affairs Service Center.
