At 2:46 a.m. on April 25, under the traction of 4 groups of intelligent hydraulic jacks, the 4 bridges of the G5 Beijing-Kunming Expressway Chengmian Expansion Project (hereinafter referred to as the Chengmian Expansion Project) with a total weight of more than 76,000 tons were "gorgeously turned" in the way of the same rotation of the 4 bridges when they crossed the North Ring Liaison Railway and the Chengdu North Ring Railway (hereinafter referred to as the Chengdu North Ring Railway Hub), which lasted 66 minutes to achieve precise docking with the main bridge, and refreshed the weight record of the 4-bridge co-rotating cluster rotating bridge in the southwest region. After the completion of the turnaround, the Chengmian expansion project has entered a comprehensive sprint stage, laying a solid foundation for striving to complete and open to traffic by the end of this year.
The Chengmian expansion project is led by Shudao Group Sichuan High Company, Sichuan Road and Bridge is constructed, and Chengdu Railway Engineering General Contracting Company and Chongqing Urban Construction Holding (Group) Co., Ltd. jointly undertake the construction task of turning the bridge across the railway. The turnaround bridge of the Chengmian expansion project is located in Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu, which is the throat of the northbound passage out of Chengdu City. There are a total of 4 bridges in the synchronous rotation construction, of which the two bridges on the south side cross the Chengdu North Ring Railway, with a length of 125m and 112m respectively, and the weight is more than 16,000 tons, and the two bridges near the north side should cross the North Ring Railway, with a span of 160m and 112m, of which the weight of the 160m bridge has reached more than 28,000 tons. The total weight of the four rotating bridges is more than 76,000 tons, which is equivalent to the weight of more than 50,000 cars.
The Chengdu North Ring Line railway hub crossed by the turntable bridge connects the Qingbaijiang International Logistics Port to the north and the Chengdu North Marshalling Station, the largest freight train marshalling station in Sichuan, to the south, which is the transportation hub for north-south trains in Chengdu. The average daily throughput of freight trains and passenger trains such as China-Laos trains and China-Europe trains is about 170 trains, which is a high-flow railway trunk line.
With a total weight of more than 76,000 tons, how to achieve the synchronous and precise rotation of the four 10,000-ton "Big Macs"? The answer lies in the rotating system buried under the bridge pier. It is understood that when turning, due to the close horizontal distance between the beam body and the railway catenary column, the railway 10KV voltage needs to be centrally power-off, and the line needs to be blocked, in order to ensure that the 4 bridges turn at the same time, minimize the impact on the crossing of the Chengdu North Ring Line railway hub freight trains, and ensure the safe and normal passage of freight trains such as China-Laos trains and China-Europe trains in the past, during the implementation of the project, the construction unit introduced a smart rotation monitoring system based on BIM digital twin and Internet of Things technology to achieve 4 piers of synchronization, Smooth rotation and precise positioning.
It is understood that the Chengmian expansion project will strive to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2024, after the completion of the whole line, it will effectively undertake and transfer the local road traffic volume, alleviate the traffic pressure of the existing Chengmian Expressway, reduce traffic congestion, and improve the efficiency of channel transportation, which will greatly enhance the service capacity of the comprehensive transportation channel in the northbound Sichuan region of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, comprehensively optimize the spatial structure of the Chengdu circle, improve the conditions for the in-depth development of the regional economy, comprehensively stimulate the economic development momentum and vitality of the province, and strongly support the development pattern of "one trunk and multiple branches" in Sichuan.
