"Judging from the 12306 standby data, this year's travel demand is very hot, with the highest daily waitlist increasing by 156% over the same period last year, showing a high concentration before the holiday, scattered after the holiday, strong demand for short- and medium-distance passenger flows, and two-way flow. In order to meet the travel needs of the majority of passengers, the passenger transportation, dispatching, transportation, vehicle and other departments of Guangzhou Railway Group closely coordinate to make overall arrangements for the transportation capacity of each line and each station, and optimize the use of EMUs. According to the demand for passenger flow, the implementation of "one map per day", flexible arrangement of capacity, focusing on increasing the capacity between Hunan and Guangdong, between Guangzhou and Shenzhen in Guangdong Province to Chaoshan, Zhanjiang and Shaoguan, between Changsha and western Hunan in Hunan Province, and appropriately increase the capacity between Guangzhou and Shenzhen to Chengdu, Chongqing, Nanning, Kunming and other directions.

It is understood that the Guangzhou Railway Group fully considered the impact of weather factors during the "May Day" period, and adopted the principle of first reconnecting and then adding, first planning and then peaking, and arranging the capacity to go online. During the "May Day" transportation period, it is estimated that an average of 2,709 locomotive trains will be operated per day, of which 803 will be reconnected, and 1,744 passenger trains will be arranged, with an average of 218 additional trains per day.

From April 29th to May 1st, May 4th to May 5th, Guangzhou Railway Group will also run night high-speed rail lines in Beijing-Guangzhou, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong, Shanghai-Kunming, Beijing-Hong Kong, Nanguang, Guiguang, Ningbo-Guangzhou, Hangzhou-Shenzhen, Shenzhen-Zhanjiang, Guangzhou-Zhuhai and other high-speed rail lines, and plans to run 679 night high-speed rail trains, mainly to Changsha, Chaoshan, Zhanjiang and other popular directions.

In order to provide passengers with a more comfortable physical examination, the railway department will run high-speed rail moving sleeper trains on April 30 and May 1, mainly for Beijing West - Shenzhen North D901/2, D903/4, D909/10, D927/8, Beijing West - Zhanjiang West D921/2, Beijing West - Zhuhai D923/4, Shanghai Hongqiao - Shenzhen North D907/8, Shanghai Hongqiao - Foshan West D931/4, D933/2, Shanghai Hongqiao - Guangzhou South D935/ 8.
