Wandering away, I finally have a warm home
Stepping into the Hanshou County Love College, the green building in the rain and fog is very eye-catching. Plates with names written on them in the cafeteria, bookmarked extracurricular reading materials in the study room, and handmade handicrafts made by children in the teacher's office...... The academy is full of children's life and learning.
"This is the bedroom of twin brothers Xiaowen and Xiaowu, and the brothers are very sensible. Liu Qi, a homework tutor, was full of emotion when she talked about the two children.
In 2023, at the beginning of the establishment of the college, an old man brought the brothers to the college, Liu Qi always remembered the timid expressions of the two when they first met, the hands kept rubbing together and the tears that they did not want to fall, revealing the helplessness that was difficult to hide. They are already in the third grade, and the two children look much thinner than their peers because of malnutrition.
The old man, who was called his grandfather by the children, said that his daughter-in-law ran away from home many years ago and completely lost contact, and then his son determined through a paternity test that the children were not his own, and left it alone to form a new family. The old man took care of him alone for several years, and he couldn't afford to raise him, so he sent the brothers here.

They are still young, Xiaowen and Xiaowu can't understand why their parents left one after another, and the upheaval and lack of a fixed place since childhood made them sensitive and uneasy. The old man was unwilling to hide the facts, Liu Qi hurriedly asked the other teachers to take the brothers away, and the distressing thing was that the two children accepted everything calmly with anxiety.
"In the beginning, they were very resistant to the academy and very defensive. Some of the children in the Hanshou County Love College are de facto unsupported children, some are children of mentally ill patients, some are children of severely disabled families, and some parents have passed away for some reason. After coming to the Love Academy, these children who passively chose the difficult mode at the beginning of their lives not only have no worries about food and clothing, but also have the opportunity to go to public schools in the county, have someone to help them with homework, care about their mental health, and have a solid backing to start a new life.
In April 2023, on the basis of the original Hanshou County Children's Welfare Institute, the Hanshou Love College, covering an area of more than 8,700 square meters, was completed. The Hanshou County Finance allocated a special fund of 2 million yuan, and the Hanshou County Education Foundation guaranteed follow-up funds to give 120 children in distress a warm family in the county.

Here, the children take the school bus to the county Longchi Experimental Middle School or the affiliated primary school every morning to attend classes, and return to the college for dinner after school in the evening, and complete their homework under the guidance of the learning teacher. Every weekend, the college will also offer special art and sports courses such as music, art, and calligraphy.
Not only material support, but also the college uses love to soothe the wounds on the children's hearts that are difficult to heal. "From time to time, the heart-to-heart mailbox receives letters from children pouring out their hearts. Psychology teacher Wen Qian told reporters that considering the situation of children in difficulty, the college has set up a psychological clinic and a heart-to-heart mailbox to pay attention to the children's mental health in a timely manner.

Xiaohu, who just entered the first year of junior high school this year, is Wen Qian's key care object, because his father died in front of his eyes, and Xiaohu left a serious psychological shadow. Many common objects in life can stimulate children's most sensitive nerves.
Not long after Xiaohu came to the college, Wen Qian found his letter in the heart-to-heart mailbox, and wrote it with a red pen full of frustration, and Wen Qian was worried. "There are so many painful memories in a child's mind, and the most important thing now is to create happy memories to replace these painful memories. "Take Xiaohu to make friends, teach him new things, and take him to various interest groups. Not only Wen Qian, Xiaohu's head teacher, and caring people in the society all take care of the devastated Xiaohu in their own ways.
