Jia Bo was born in 1958 and was admitted to the Department of Medicine of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where he excelled during his studies, so he stayed on to work after graduating in 1982. In 1986, he studied for a master's degree in prescription pharmacy and was a disciple of the famous Chinese medicine master Chen Chaozu.

She emphasized that in order to learn prescriptions well, in addition to mastering the basic knowledge of prescriptions, it is also necessary to memorize a certain number of prescriptions, so as to enter the clinic faster. She stressed that it is necessary to learn to flexibly tailor and organize new prescriptions according to the severity of the disease, physical condition, age, etc., so as to solve the ever-changing diseases.
In addition to teaching at the university, Professor Jia Bo has also been invited to give lectures at Chinese University of Hong Kong, Chang Gung University in Taiwan, and the French Institute of Pestle and Acupuncture for many years, and has been engaged in the education and dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine. She has trained 57 master's and doctoral students at home and abroad.
Professor Jia Bo has undertaken 12 national and provincial research projects and has achieved very high academic achievements. She has edited more than 10 books and textbooks, such as "Advanced Series of Chinese Medicine: Formula", "Annotations on Puji Fang", "Essence of Chinese Medicine Medicine" and "Formula", and published more than 20 high-quality papers.
