Mr. Peng has worked hard and has always been in a high position in New China. In the 50s, he served as Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Chairman of the Military Commission, Minister of Defense. However, he is upright and honest.
In the 50s, central leaders often went to Beidaihe for summer vacation. However, Mr. and Mrs. Peng never went to Beidaihe. Beidaihe also has no place to live.
This impressed many people. In the 50s, Luo Ruiqing was the vice premier of the State Council, and his daughter Luo Diandian recalled:
"Speaking of Marshal Peng Dehuai, he is indeed different in our memory. For example, he seems to have never come to Beidaihe, and there has never been a shadow of him in the social field of our family. We can remember which one of the villas in Beidaihe lived in whose house, but no one can remember which one Marshal Peng lived in. Marshal Peng is not smiling, he has no children, and his wife Pu Anxiu is always serious, so we children are a little afraid of them and their husbands. ”
Going to Beidaihe for summer vacation is actually work, but it is just a different working environment. However, Peng Dehuai never went, so that Beidaihe was the only one who did not have his residence.
Peng Lao is always like this, and so is his wife Pu Anxiu. Luo Diandian also recalled:
"After the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, some people who had been unfairly treated during the 'Cultural Revolution' were allowed to go to Beidaihe for vacation, and the guest house of the Military Commission was heavily constructed, and five villas were built in the names of Pu Anxiu, Lin Yueqin, Wang Ronghua (Marshal Liu Bocheng's wife), Xue Ming and my mother, and Pu Anxiu only came to live once. ”
This is Mr. Peng's style – a person with a real capital letter.
