author:Shanghai Changning

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, as well as the year of the Paris Olympic Games. At this year's Paris Olympics, breaking will also make its official debut as one of the events. To this end, the National Dance Theatre specially planned and launched the "French Break Season".

Breaking has become an Olympic event! This "Breaking Season" of the National Dance Theater is coming!

Three different French break dance productions – Last Stand, The Way Out and We Are Monchici – will be staged one after another, as well as physical workshops, talks, break city flash mobs and free open theatre days.

"Last Stand"

The two dancers of "Last Stand" are Kami, who was selected for the French national team at the Paris Olympics, and her teacher Bee D. In this work, the two dancers combine break dancing with modern dance, and use their unique physical skills to let the audience intuitively feel the unique charm of break dancing.

"The Way Out"

"The Way Out" is a break dance work that combines elements of modern dance, which uses the body of break dance and the expression of modern dance to show the hearts of three characters trapped in daily life. As a break dance work, The Way Out creatively incorporates a variety of art forms such as theatre, mime, circus and modern dance. Not only will there be plenty of breakdancing performances with dancers playing different sides of the people who are funny, calm and serious, but also the mime scenes in the work will pay homage to the comedy master Chaplin with a great sense of humor.
