From April 25th to May 4th, the 2024 Beijing International Auto Show officially kicked off. As a new top player in the automotive industry, Xiaomi also brought its first model, Xiaomi SU7, to the Beijing Auto Show.
Lei Jun gave a speech on the first day of the auto show, announcing many important information such as Xiaomi's SU7 city NOA opening technology and software OTA plan.
First of all, Lei Jun announced that as of April 24, the number of Xiaomi SU7 locked orders has exceeded 75,723 units, and it has been on the market for nearly 28 days, and the delivery volume has reached 5,781 units. Among the purchasing user groups, the statistics of Xiaomi Automotive Data Center show that female buyers account for 28%, and it is expected that the proportion of female car owners will reach 40-50%.
It is worth mentioning that Lei Jun also said that among the buyers of Xiaomi SU7, BBA (Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi) users accounted for 29%, and the proportion of users who used Apple mobile phones reached 51.9%.
Perhaps in order to take care of more iPhone users, Xiaomi SU7 plans to push HyperOS 1.1.0 version in early May, which will add support for wireless Carplay, remote parking/straight line summoning, city pilot internal test experience, end-to-end valet parking Beta, mobile phone wireless charging pad NFC switch, 4 wearable devices that support NFC key, Xiaomi SU7 Pro version supports four construction switches.
At the end of May, Xiaomi SU7 will push HyperOS 1.2.0 version, Xiaomi SU7 Pro and Max equipped with Xiaomi Pilot Max will open urban NOA, the first batch of cities include Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Nanjing, Chengdu, Xi'an, Wuhan. In addition, the facelifted version will also bring functions such as parking space scene mode, steering blind spot image, adaptive HUD height adjustment, and lane-level navigation.
Lei Jun also said that the Xiaomi SU7 standard version and Max version have started delivery ahead of schedule on April 18, the Pro version will start delivery at the end of May, and the Xiaomi SU7 plan to deliver more than 10,000 units per month at the end of June. In addition, Xiaomi also plans to set up 219 sales stores in 46 cities and 143 service centers in 86 cities by the end of 2024.
It is worth mentioning that Lei Jun also announced the Zhejiang results of Xiaomi SU7 Max, which ran to 1:42.163 with original tires. The Xiaomi SU7 Max currently ranks fifth among all models in Zhejiang, and it is also the only car in the top five that costs less than 700,000 yuan. The Xiaomi SU7 Max is paired with Michelin CUP 2R semi-hot melt tires, and the lap time can reach 1:38.043, which is comparable to the million-dollar Lotus Eletre R+.
Xiaomi SU7 Max adopts a dual-motor four-wheel drive configuration, with a comprehensive system power of 495kW and a peak torque of 838 Nm, using CATL Kirin batteries, supporting 800V high-voltage platform, CLTC working conditions can range up to 800km, 15 minutes can replenish energy 510km, and supports Xiaomi Pilot Max.
Xiaomi SU7 Max also uses a 25-speaker luxury audio system in the car, including 4 woofers, 7 midrange speakers, 7 tweeters, 2 headrest speakers, 1 subwoofer, 4 sky speakers, which can achieve a 7.1.4 channel system and support Dolby Atmos sound effects, allowing passengers to enjoy the beauty of Dolby sound.
