On April 20, the Tai Lung Street Social Worker Station successfully held the "Community Ostomy Specialist" Volunteer Team Social Work Supervision Meeting. The purpose of this conference is to further improve the service efficiency and professional level of the "Sunshine Band-Aid" Chronic Wound Repair Community Care Action, and inject new impetus into the professional growth and development of the 11 backbone volunteers of the "Community Ostomy Specialist" volunteer team through in-depth exchanges and strategic planning. It is understood that at present, the "Sunshine Band-Aid" chronic wound repair community care action has been funded by the 11th Guangzhou Social Organization Public Welfare Venture Capital Project, and related services will be carried out in five towns and streets in Panyu District in the future.
In this supervision, the social worker supervisor focused on the upcoming implementation of the social worker supervision program of the "Community Ostomy Specialist" volunteer team. The program covers regular professional skills training, case tracking and evaluation, emotional support and communication counseling, ethical guidance and other aspects, in order to improve the level of volunteer service in an all-round way and ensure that community residents can receive timely and effective wound care services.
Break the ice and get to know each other, share and introduce the supervision plan
Through case discussion, social worker supervisors guide volunteers to correctly learn the knowledge of ethical norms in volunteer service, and clarify and emphasize the code of conduct and ethics of volunteers. Subsequently, in view of the problems and challenges encountered in the actual service process, the social worker supervised and guided the volunteers to discuss in groups, gave in-depth analysis, and put forward specific countermeasures and methods.
Case study and brainstorming
In addition, the project social worker supervisor also emphasized the importance of establishing a feedback mechanism, encouraging volunteers to actively put forward work suggestions and needs, and jointly promote the sustainable development and innovation of the project. Through the introduction of a scientific and systematic volunteer supervision system, we strive to make the work of the "Community Ostomy Specialist" volunteer team in Da Lung Street closer to the needs of the community, and more effectively serve the elderly with chronic wound difficulties in the jurisdiction, as well as the residents and friends who need to popularize the knowledge of chronic wound care. The successful holding of the "Community Ostomy Specialist" Volunteer Team Social Work Supervision Meeting marks a solid step forward in promoting the professionalization of chronic wound care volunteer services in Da Lung Street. In the future, the "Sunshine Band-Aid" project will continue to work with community ostomy volunteers to contribute to the construction of a healthy and harmonious community environment with professional skills, professionalism and warm humanistic care, and light up more lights of hope for life recovery.
