Parents, has your child been vaccinated? Vaccination, it's important to know about this!

Why do more than 90% of parents choose to vaccinate their children? This is not only to protect their children's health, but also to invest in the future.

Why do children need to be vaccinated?

Every little life is born with a precious gift from my mother - immunity. However, as the baby grows, these immunity will gradually weaken, and at the same time, the child's immune system is not fully developed, and the threat of external diseases is becoming more serious.

At this time, the vaccine is like the patron saint of children's health, building a strong line of defense for them against the invasion of various infectious diseases.

Vaccination is the most effective, cost-effective and convenient means of protecting children's health.

Is it okay to get vaccinated at your own expense?

Faced with a wide variety of vaccines, parents may be confused: is it okay to pay for the vaccine at their own expense?

There are two types of vaccines: immunization program vaccines and non-immunization program vaccines. Immunization program vaccines are provided free of charge by the government and should be vaccinated by every child, including BCG, hepatitis B, polio, diphtheria, measles, encephalitis, Japanese encephalitis, hepatitis A, diphtheria, etc., and the specific types may vary depending on local policies.

Non-immunization program vaccines are voluntary and self-funded by parents, although not mandatory, but they are also an important supplement to immunization program vaccines, and parents can choose according to their own conditions and doctors' recommendations.

It is recommended to complete the National Immunization Programme vaccination according to the following vaccination schedule:

Can I still get vaccinated if I miss the best time to get vaccinated?

Sometimes, for a variety of reasons, we may miss the best time to get vaccinated. Don't worry, most vaccines are catch-up within the stipulated time frame. However, please note that vaccination cannot be done earlier, only later.

As long as all doses are finally completed, the protective effect of the vaccine will not be affected. We do not recommend postponing any vaccination without special reasons, after all, vaccination is to produce antibodies in time to fight off diseases, early vaccination, early protection!

When can't I get vaccinated?

Of course, before vaccination, parents should also check whether their child has allergies, immune abnormalities or is sick, etc., in which case the child may not be suitable for vaccination. If you have any of these conditions, be sure to tell your doctor in time.

What should I do if I have a reaction after vaccination?

Parents, has your child been vaccinated? Vaccination, it's important to know about this!

After vaccination, the child may have some mild reactions, such as fever, rash, etc., which are normal phenomena and parents do not need to be too nervous. As long as you pay attention, drink plenty of warm water, rest properly and keep warm, your child's body will recover quickly. However, if the reaction is severe or prolonged, you should go to the hospital in time.

Warm reminder from the Child Protection Center of Hanshou County People's Hospital: Please keep your child's vaccination book properly, and you need to provide this certificate for nursery, enrollment, transfer, and going abroad!

Vaccinations are for the health of children and for their future. Let's work together to build a solid health barrier for our children to thrive.
