Since the beginning of this year, the party group of the Chenggong District Veterans Affairs Bureau has closely focused on the center and served the overall situation, comprehensively improved the quality of the party building work of the organs, and effectively promoted the quality and efficiency of the work of veterans in the new era.
01 Forge political loyalty
Strictly implement the "first topic" system, carry out theoretical study in a solid manner, combine party group meetings, theoretical study center groups, organ party committee meetings, "three meetings and one lesson" and political theory study, etc., deeply understand General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on the work of retired soldiers, strengthen the study of the party constitution and the "Regulations on Disciplinary Actions of the Communist Party of China" and other key content, continue to guide party members and cadres to deeply understand the decisive significance of the "two establishments", and transform what they have learned into the ideological, political, and action consciousness of resolutely achieving the "two safeguards".
Through measures such as surprise inspections, roll call reports, and individual interviews, work responsibilities are consolidated layer by layer, and the "Measures for the Management of Work Errors and Mistakes" are formulated to implement detailed supervision and inspection. Up to now, the implementation of the organizational life system of the grass-roots party branch has been supervised twice, the participation of party members, cadres and workers in the study has been supervised 12 times, and 8 individual conversations have been conducted.
02 Strengthen grassroots organizations
We will build a party building brand of "sincere service and respect" organs, clarify the work measures of "anchoring a goal, building a strong and powerful fighting fortress, implementing the 'six hearts' project, and playing three major roles", and continuously enhance the "two functions and one role" of the party organization.
The party committees and party branches of the organs actively participate in the joint meeting of the part-time committee system of the party organizations in the streets and communities, and organize party members and cadres to carry out the "Law on the Protection of Retired Servicemen" and the "Law on the Protection of the Status and Rights and Interests of Soldiers" to the active duty soldiers, retired soldiers and their families in the streets and communities of Longcheng through the work model of "driven by the party committee, promoted by the branch, dispatched by the party members, and linked by the party and the masses".
Jointly carry out the chain activity of "double support and joint construction of military and civilian conditions and comprehensive improvement of human settlements" with the troops stationed in Longcheng Street and Longcheng Street. Up to now, a total of 50 active and retired military personnel and their families have listened to the lecture, serving more than 200 community residents.
03 Focus on the role
We should do a good job in the party building of organs and promote the work of retired servicemen at the same time and deploy and promote them at the same time. In conjunction with the District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, a special job fair for veterans was held to organize retired soldiers to participate in vocational skills training.
Conscientiously implement and vigorously promote the work tasks of newly employed veterans at the provincial and municipal levels in 2024, and help veterans find high-quality employment. The Party organization took the lead in building a "district-street-village (community)" volunteer service system to achieve full regional coverage, and set up a pioneer retired military volunteer service team, a district-level brigade, a street service squadron, and a village (community) service team.
Up to now, 56 veterans have been visited, condolences and assistance have been provided, 4 petitions related to veterans have been completed, and 17 cases have been transferred to the "12345" hotline; 16 people have reached employment intentions through job fairs, 24 veterans have been organized to participate in training, 4 of them have obtained qualified certificates; 110 veterans have been newly employed; and a total of 168 veterans' volunteer service teams have been established.
