In order to further strengthen the implementation of emergency response measures, enhance the safety awareness of community residents in flood control and flood control, and ensure a rapid and effective response to sudden natural disasters, on April 23, 2024, the Fujian Provincial Disaster Reduction Center, together with the Fujian Provincial Institute of Disaster Prevention and Control Technology, the Party Working Committee and Office of Hot Spring Street, Dongda Community, Fujian Red Cross On-site Ambulance Training Center, and Fujian Starlight Rescue Team, carried out the "2024 Flood Prevention Drill into the Community".
The drill simulated the river water rising sharply during the flood season, a cleaning staff in Jin'an River Park during the work, accidentally fell into the surging river, one of his companions also fell into the water during the rescue process, the situation was urgent, the surrounding people called the police, and then the rescue team quickly dispatched to implement the rescue.
At the same time, the emergency rescue and drainage team, the evacuation and protection group, and the logistics support group moved and quickly assembled upon hearing the order, guiding the residents to evacuate in an orderly manner according to the emergency evacuation route, and transferring the trapped people to the disaster shelter as soon as possible, so as to do a good job in the resettlement of the masses as soon as possible. The Red Cross staff of Fujian Province bandaged the injured people, taught them on the spot, and demonstrated the operation details in detail, which further improved the emergency rescue ability of the cadres.
The Provincial Red Cross On-site Ambulance Training Center, Fujian Provincial Institute of Disaster Prevention and Control Technology, and Fujian Starlight Rescue Team also set up popular science booths at the scene. In view of the situation that is easy to cause geological disasters such as flash floods and debris flows during the flood season, relevant scientific popularization should be carried out for the masses to improve their ability to prevent, reduce and avoid disasters.
The drill was close to the actual combat, with "drills" to promote prevention, to "practice" flood preparedness, through flood control and rescue demonstrations, flood prevention and evacuation demonstrations, as well as flood prevention and safety science publicity and other special community publicity activities, in each link to fully test the operability of the emergency plan, test the flood control team's emergency rescue ability. The whole exercise process has standardized procedures, strong command, rapid response, tacit cooperation, and effective handling.
