There is nothing to be favored and borrowed, and there is nothing to be feared and taboo. They will not drown in the water, nor burn in the fire. There was no pain in slashing and whipping, and there was no itching in fingernail scratching. Riding the clouds into the sky is like being down-to-earth, and sleeping on a wooden bed is like sleeping on a wooden bed.

Clouds and mist cannot interfere with their vision, thunder cannot disturb their hearing, beauty and ugliness cannot interfere with their mood, valleys cannot hinder their steps, everything runs on the spirit. When the Yellow Emperor woke up, he felt very happy and satisfied, so he called the ministers Tianlao, Li Mu, and Taishan Ji and told them: "I have lived at home for three months, cleared my mind of distractions, surrendered to the desires of the body, and concentrated on thinking about ways to maintain my body and mind and to treat external things, but I still have not found this method. Liegu shoots the mountain in the middle of the Haihe River, and on the mountain lives the man of God, who breathes the air, drinks the dew, and does not eat grains; The soul is like the spring water of the deep mountains, and the shape is like the girl in the boudoir; No partiality or selfish love, immortals and saints are his ministers; He who is not dignified or angry, but who is honest and faithful, does things for him; No charity, no favor, everything in the outside world is satisfied by itself; Don't accumulate or collect, and your own supplies are not lacking at all. Yin and yang are always harmonized, the sun and moon are always bright, spring, summer, autumn and winter are orderly every year, the wind, frost, rain and snow seasons are appropriate, the breeding and growth are in season, and the grains and grains are full of years; And the land is not harmed, the people will not die, all things will not be disabled, and the ghosts will not make waves.

Liezi worshiped Lao Shang as his teacher, took Bo Gaozi as his friend, learned all the skills of the two, and then returned with the wind.

Since I worshipped Lao Shang as my teacher and Bo Gaozi as my friend, within three years, I didn't dare to care about right and wrong in my heart, and I didn't dare to talk about the benefits and harms on my lips, and then I got the teacher to look at me with slanted eyes.

Within two years, I was more concerned about right and wrong in my heart (than before I learned the Tao), and talked more about the benefits and harms, and then the teacher began to relax and smile at me.

In two years, I followed my heart and thought that there was nothing right or wrong; Obey the tongue to talk about it, but feel that there is no benefit or harm; The teacher told me to sit with him on a mat.

In two years, I indulged my mind and tongue to talk, but I did not know what was right or wrong in my mind and what I was talking about, nor did I know what was right or wrong in others. And I don't know that Lao Shang is my teacher, and Bo Gaozi is my friend; At this time, everything inside and outside the body was completely forgotten.

From now on, the eyes are like the ears, the ears are like the nose, and the nose is like the mouth, there is no difference. The mind is condensed, the body disappears, and the flesh and bones are all melted; I don't feel what my body is leaning on, what my feet are stepping on, and I float in all directions with the wind, like leaves and dry shells. I don't know if it's the wind that controls me, or if I control the wind! Now that you are under the teacher's door, you have been resentful several times in less than an hour. Nor will a single piece of your body be accepted by the vital energy, nor will one of your limbs be contained by the earth. How can you step on the void and control the wind and clouds?" Yin Sheng was very ashamed, and he didn't dare to speak out loud for a long time, and he didn't dare to say anything more.

Liezi asked Guan Yin and said, "The person with the highest Taoist skill will not suffocate when he swims in deep water, he will not feel hot when he stands in the fire, and he will not tremble when he walks in the highest place." Why are they like this?"

"This is the result of the accumulation of innocence, not the ability of cleverness, skill and boldness," Guan said. Sit down! I'll tell you. Everything that has a look, shape, sound, and color is a thing.

Why are things so different from each other, and what makes some things a head above others? It's just the appearance and the sound.

And those advanced things can reach the level of no sound, color, and form, so as to achieve the level of no change, and at this level, if you want to investigate thoroughly, how can you get a completely correct understanding?

This object will manifest itself in its usual state, hidden in a cycle without a head or tail, moving in the constant flow of everything.

Perfect your nature, cultivate your qi, hide your virtues, and connect with the highest things. If this is the case, the innocence of your natural innocence will be accumulated, and there will be no void in your spirit, so how can a foreign object invade the well and affect you? A drunken person falls from a car, and although he is injured, he does not die.

The bones are the same as others, but the damage is less than others, because of his mental integrity. He was unconscious when he was in a car, he was unconscious when he fell, and the ideas of death, survival, fear, and fear could not invade his heart, so he was not afraid of anything. How much more could he have accumulated the innocence of his innocence because he was drunk, and the saint hid himself in the innocence of his innocence, so that nothing outside could harm him. ”

It has become a national custom to play this game all day and all night. He Sheng and Zi Bo are the noble knights of the Fan family, who went out to play, passed through the remote countryside, and lived in the home of Qiu Kai, an old farmer.

Then he teased, insulted, deceived him, pushed, wrestled and beaten, and did everything, but Shang Qiu Kai did not look unhappy at all.

The knights were exhausted, and they were very tired of teasing and laughing. So he climbed the high platform with Shang Qiukai, and someone in the crowd said casually: "Anyone who can jump off the platform will be rewarded with a hundred gold." ”

Everyone is scrambling to respond. Shang Qiu believed that it was true, so he first jumped off the platform, shaped like a bird, and fluttered to the ground, without damage to his skin and bones. The disciples of the Fan family thought that it was an accidental success, so they did not find it too strange.

Then he pointed to the deep waters of the bend and said, "There is a jewel in the water, and you can touch it if you swim down." ”

Shang Qiu Kai jumped into the water again. After swimming out of the water, he got the orb. Everyone began to feel strange at this time, so Zihua asked him to join the ranks of eating meat and wearing silk. Not long after, a fire broke out in the Fan family's warehouse. Shang Qiu Kai got into the fire without difficulty, coming and going several times, but the smoke and dust did not stain his face, and his body was not scorched. The disciples of the Fan family thought that he had some Taoist skills, so they apologized to him together and said, "We didn't know that you had Taoist skills and deceived you, and we didn't know that you were a god and insulted you.

You can see us as stupid, you can see us as deaf, you can see us as blind. We boldly ask you for advice. ”

Shang Qiu Kai said: "I don't have any Taoist skills. Even in my heart, I don't know what's going on. Still, I have a feeling in my heart that I would like to tell you about it. In the past, two of you had lived in my house, and I heard them praise the power of the Fan clan for their ability to make the living die and the damned live; The rich are poor, and the poor are rich.

I sincerely believe that there is not a single doubt in the slightest, so I am not afraid to come from a long distance. When I came, I thought that your words were true and reliable, so I was afraid that my sincerity was not enough, and that I would not act quickly, and that I did not know where my form had been, nor what was at stake, but I was only single-minded. Nothing outside can change my sincerity, that's all.

Today I realized that you were deceiving me, so I hid my guesses and doubts in my heart, and I had to pay attention to what I saw and heard outside, thinking back to the past when I was lucky not to be scorched or drowned, and now I am so scared that my heart is feverish, and my whole body trembles with fear. How can you get any closer to fire and water?" From then on, when Fan's disciples met poor people such as beggars and horse doctors on the road, they did not dare to insult them, and they must get out of the car to salute. Zai I heard about it and told Confucius.

Confucius said, "Don't you know? Those who can move the heavens and the earth, the ghosts and gods, and run rampant all over the world without disobeying are not only in danger and in and out of fire and water! Shang Qiu Kai believes in lies and is not hindered, not to mention that you and I are sincere! You must keep in mind!

During the reign of King Xuan of Zhou, the official in charge of raising birds and beasts had a servant Liang Duck, who could raise wild birds and beasts and feed them in the garden, even if it was a tiger hungry wolf, a large eagle osprey, etc., there was no one who was not trained to be submissive.

Male and female birds and beasts mate and reproduce, and the breeding birds and beasts are in groups; Different kinds of beasts live together, and they do not fight and hurt each other. King Xuan of Zhou was worried that his technique would not be passed on, so he ordered Mao Qiuyuan to learn from him.

Liang Yang said to Mao Qiuyuan: "I am just a lowly servant, what skills do I have to tell you?" But I am afraid that the king will say that I am hiding it from you, so I will talk to you about the method of raising tigers."

It is probably the nature of a fleshed animal to rejoice in it and to be angry in its disobedience. But are pleasures and anger vented casually?

Feed a tiger with a live animal, for fear that it will get angry when it kills a living animal; You can't feed it whole for fear that it will get angry when it tears it apart.

You need to know when it's hungry and when it's full, and find out why it's angry. The tiger and the human are not the same kind, the tiger pleases the person who feeds it because the person who feeds it follows it; Then it hurts people because it is against it. How dare I turn against it and make it angry? and certainly not with it to make it happy. After being happy, it must be anger, and after anger, it is often happiness, which is not a moderate attitude. Now that my heart is neither disobedient nor obedient, then the birds and beasts have treated me as they have treated their kind. Therefore the beasts that play in my garden do not miss the tall woods and the open waters; The beasts that sleep in my court do not yearn for the mountains and valleys, which are determined by the laws of things.

Yan asked Confucius back: "I once crossed an abyss as steep as a wine jug by boat, and the boatman of the ferry was very wonderful.

I asked him, 'Can you learn to be in charge of a ship?' He said, 'Yes.' Those who can swim can be taught, and those who are good at swimming don't need to learn to do it themselves. As for those who can dive in deep water, even if they have never seen a boat, they can take up the helm of the boat. I asked him why, but he wouldn't tell me. How do you say that?"

Confucius said, "Alas, I have been discussing this matter with you in books for a long time, but I have not understood its actual content, let alone the art of Taoism? A good swimmer doesn't need to learn to do it himself, because he forgets that it's water. As for those who can dive in deep water, even if they have never seen a boat, they can take up the steer and steer it, because he sees the abyss as a hill and the capsized boat as a car retreating from the hillside.

Thousands of things like capsizing the boat and returning the car were placed before him, and he was not at ease, so what could he not do freely? The man who threw with tiles was very skillful, but he was a little afraid when he threw with a silver hook, and he became drowsy when he threw with gold. The skills are the same, and the reason for the care is that they value things outside the body. Anyone who values things outside the body must have a very poor quality in his heart. ”

Confucius visited Luliang Mountain, and saw that the waterfall was dozens of zhang high, and the foam of the flowing water splashed out for thirty miles, and the turtles, fish, and turtles could not swim, but he saw a man swimming there, thinking that he was a person who wanted to commit suicide because of pain, so he asked his disciples to follow the current to save him. Who knew that this man swam a few hundred steps and came out again, wearing his hair and singing, strolling under the pond ridge.

Confucius rushed up and asked him: "Luliang Waterfall is dozens of zhang high, the foam of the flowing water splashes out for thirty miles, and the turtles, turtles, fish and turtles can't swim, just now I saw you swimming in the water, thinking that there was a person who was in pain and wanted to commit suicide, so I asked my disciple to go along the water to save you."

You came out with your hair draped and singing as you walked, and I thought you were a ghost. But look closely at you, it's still human. Do you have any skills in swimming?" The man said, "No, I don't have any Taoism. I started with the flow of the water here, followed the natural ups and downs of the water, and before I knew it, I succeeded. Entering the center of the current with the whirlpool, surfacing with the gushing water, following the direction of the flow of the water without looking out for the other way, this is how I swim. ”

Confucius asked, "What does it mean to start from the conditions here, grow up with the nature of water, and succeed unconsciously?" The man said, "I was born in the mountains and lived in the mountains with peace of mind, and this is how the conditions here begin; Growing up near the water, you can live by the water with peace of mind, which is to grow up with the nature of the water; I don't know why I succeeded but I succeeded, this is unwitting success. ”

Confucius went to the state of Chu, passed by a forest, and saw a hunchbacked old man sticking cicadas, as easy as picking up things. Confucius asked, "What a coincidence, do you have Taoism?" The man replied, "I have Taoism."

After five or six months of training, I stacked two mud balls on the bamboo pole without falling off, and the number of times the sticky cicadas missed was very small; stacks of three without falling, and the sticky cicadas miss only one in ten times; Stacking five without falling off, sticky cicadas are like picking up something. I stood on the ground like a broken stump; I stretched out my arms like withered branches. Although the heavens and the earth are very large, and there are many things, I only know the wings of the cicada. I don't need anything to distract me from the cicada's wings, so why can't I stick to it?" Confucius turned back to his disciples and said, "If the mind is single-minded and not scattered, you will reach the state of wonder." I'm talking about this hunchbacked old man!" The old man said, "How can you, a Confucian man in a robe and coat, think of asking about this? ”

There is a man who likes gulls and birds, and every morning he goes to the sea to play with the gulls, and there are more than 100 gulls. So, "The best language is no language, and the highest action is no action." The idea of testing one's wisdom with others is very shallow.

After the fire passed, he slowly walked out as if he had never experienced anything.

Zhao Xiangzi felt strange and kept him. Slowly observing him, seeing that his appearance, complexion, and seven orifices were human, and his breath and voice were also human, he asked him, "What kind of Taoist technique enables you to live in the stone wall?"

What Dao technique allows you to enter the flames?" The man said, "What is a stone wall, and what is a flame?" Zhao Xiangzi said: "The place you came out just now is the stone wall, and the thing you stepped on just now is the flame." The man said, "I don't know." When Wei Wenhou heard about it, he asked Zixia, "What kind of person is that?"

Zixia said: "According to what I heard from Confucius, the person who is neutralized is mixed with all things, so that all things cannot hurt or hinder him, and it is okay to play in the gold and stones, and walk in the fire and water." ”

Wei Wenhou asked again, "Why don't you do this?" Zixia said: "I can't do it by digging out my heart and lungs and abandoning my thoughts." Even so, it's possible. Wen Hou said, "Why didn't Confucius do this?" Zixia said: "He can do it as an old man, but he is not willing to do it. Wen Hou was very happy.

There is a magical sorcerer who came to live in Zheng from the country of Qi, his name is Ji Xian, who knows the life and death of people, the blessings and misfortunes, and the predictions of the year, month, ten, and day are as accurate as a god. When Zheng Guoren saw him, they all avoided him and walked away.

When Liezi saw him, he was fascinated by it, and came back to tell Huqiuzi about it, saying, "Originally, I thought that your Dao skills were the highest, but now there are people who are higher than you. ”

The pot said, "I have discussed these things with you in books, but we have not understood the actual content of them, let alone understand the Taoism? How can you give birth to eggs when there are only many female animals and no male animals?

Try to bring him in and show him my face. The next day, Liezi brought Ji Xian to see the pot. After Ji Xian went out, he said to Liezi: "Alas, your teacher is about to die, and he can't live, and he won't be able to live for ten days. I saw that he was strangely shaped, and his face was like wet ash. When Liezi came in, he cried so much that his clothes were wet, and told Juzi what he said.

The pot said, "What I showed him just now was the appearance of the earth, which was still and not still, so he saw that I was full of life. Invite him again!" The next day, Ji Xian came with Liezi to see the pot.

After going out, he said to Liezi, "Your teacher is so lucky to have met me! His whole body was full of life, and I saw that his blocked vitality was sprouting. Liezi came in and told the pot this.

The pot said: "What I showed him just now is the handover of heaven and earth, and the false name and real fortune are not in the heart, but the vitality has been activated in the heels, which is the germination of the occlusion vitality." So he saw my vitality getting better.

Invite him again!" The next day, Ji Xian came with Liezi to see the pot. After going out, he said to Liezi: "Your teacher is sitting there in a trance, I can't show him his face, and when he settles down, I will show him again." ”

Liezi came in and told the pot. The pot said, "What I showed him just now was a sign of too nothingness, so he saw the vitality of my chaotic balance. The place where the whale circles becomes the abyss, the place where the water stagnates becomes the abyss, the place where the water moves becomes the abyss, the place where the water gushes out becomes the abyss, the place where the water falls steeply becomes the abyss, the place where the water breaks becomes the abyss, the place where the water flows back becomes the abyss, the place where the water flows into the river becomes the abyss, and the place where the water meets becomes the abyss.

Invite him again!" The next day, Liezi brought Ji Xian to see the pot again. Before he could stand still, Ji Xian fled in a panic. The pot said, "Catch up with him!" Liezi couldn't catch up, so he came back to report the pot, saying, "It's gone, it's gone, I can't catch up with him." ”

The pot said, "What I showed him just now did not leave my true self. I didn't cling to it, and as he changed, he couldn't figure out what was going on with me. So I followed him upside down like grass, and flowed with him like water, so he fled. Only then did Liezi realize that he had not yet learned anything, so he returned home, did not go out for three years, cooked for his wife, fed the pigs as if he were a servant, had no preference for anything, returned to the original without carving, was as independent and undisturbed as a clod of earth, and was united in the midst of all the trivialities, and so on for the rest of his life.

Liezi went to the country of Qi, and returned halfway back, and met the Bo Duren.

The dumb man asked, "Why did you come back again?" "I was shocked. "Why the shock?" I ate in a town with ten hotels, and as soon as I got there, five hotels gave me food and drinks. ”

He asked, "Why are you shocked?" Liezi said: "When the lust of the heart is not dissolved, the form and action will be glorious, and this appearance will calm the heart, and make it easy for people to respect themselves as old men, which may bring disaster." The hotel owner specially prepared some food and drink, in order to get excess profits, their profits were very small, and their power was very small, and they still treated me like this. Moreover, the monarch who has ten thousand military chariots, whose body is exhausted in the country, and whose intelligence is exhausted in political affairs, will certainly appoint me to do things, and hope that I will be effective. So I was shocked. ”

He said, "What a wonderful opinion you have! If you are so strict with yourself, people will surely follow you." It didn't take long for Bo Duru to go to Liezi's house, and the shoes outside the door were already full.

The dumb man stood facing north, his chin supported by his cane. After standing for a while, he left without speaking.

The person who received the guests told Liezi. Liezi rushed out barefoot with his shoes in his hand, chased him to the gate, and asked, "Since the gentleman is here, don't you say a few words that inspire and enlighten me?" He said, "Forget it, I told you that people will be attached to you, and indeed they will be attached to you." It's not that you have the ability to make others subordinate to you, it's that you don't have the ability to make others unattached to you. Where do you need to move others with your words and deeds? You should know in advance that the result of moving others with your words and deeds will make you unique. And if your heart moves, it will inevitably shake your nature, which is even more meaningless. No one will tell you who associate with you. The gossip they say is poisonous to people. If you don't help others to become enlightened, how can you be called a good friend?"

Yang Zhu went south to Peidi, and Lao Dan traveled west to Qindi.

Yang Zhu copied the path in the suburbs and met Lao Tzu in Liangdi. Lao Tzu looked up to the sky halfway and sighed: "At first I thought you could be taught, but now it seems that you cannot be taught. ”

Lao Tzu said, "You are arrogant, who wants to get along with you? The whitest thing seems to be very dark, and the most moral person seems to be inadequate." Yang Zhu immediately became very respectful and said, "Listen to the teachings." Yang Zhu went to Peidi, and when he walked to the hostel, the host greeted him very politely into the room, the boss arranged a seat, the proprietress brought a towel and a comb, the guests of the hostel gave up their seats, and the person who was roasting the fire in front of the stove gave way to the stove door. When he returned from Peidi, the guests of the inn were no longer inhibited and were competing with him for a seat.

He who is the same shape as himself is close to it and loves it; Those who have a different shape from themselves are alienated and afraid of it. A person with a seven-foot-long body, different hands and feet, hair on his head, teeth in his mouth, and the ability to stand and walk briskly is called a man, and man does not necessarily have the heart of a beast. Even if you have the heart of a beast, you will be close to others in the form of a human.

With wings on their bodies, horns on their heads, bared teeth, open claws, flying with their heads raised, and running with their heads down, they are called beasts, and beasts may not be without human hearts. Male and female match each other, mother and child love each other; Avoid flat land and rely on steep slopes; Escape the cold and seek warmth; When they live, they form groups in groups, and when they travel, they form columns in turn; The young dwell inside, and the strong outward; Carry each other when drinking water, and scream together when eating.

In ancient times, they lived with humans and traveled with humans.
