Cambodia and Malaysia are both members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The close diplomacy between China and ASEAN has a great positive effect on the stability of the situation in the South China Sea. During his meeting with Hun Sen of Cambodia, mainland Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed the South China Sea dispute. Cambodia's position is quite clear: Cambodia firmly supports China's position on the situation in the South China Sea, especially on issues involving China's core interests.
And in my opinion, this is not only the attitude of Cambodia, but also the attitude of most ASEAN countries at present. The United States has pulled in a Philippines, and China has connected the entire Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The geopolitical balance in Southeast Asia has long been tilted in favor of China, and the US conspiracy in the South China Sea and its calculations in Southeast Asia can only be frustrated.
In addition, I note that the date of the Malaysian Foreign Minister's visit to China coincides with Blinken's visit to China. This can also show that China's diplomacy will not give the United States the green light. China is very busy, and the countries that deal with China are lining up, and the United States is not the only one. In other words, don't think that we attach great importance to U.S. diplomacy.
