Against the backdrop of ongoing tensions between China and the United States, it is not necessary to think about it to know that this visit by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to China is not a good sign. Prior to this, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen had just visited China, but the targeting and suppression of China did not stop before or after the visit. For example, after the visit to China, the leaders of the United States, Japan, and the Philippines held a meeting in Washington. The meeting was seen as a broad diplomatic campaign by the United States in the Yintai region to "confront China". In the same way, after Yellen, what good thing can Blinken do when he comes to China? According to the US side, the purpose of Blinken's visit to China is not only to discuss major issues affecting Sino-US relations and to avoid miscalculations between the two countries, but also to raise concerns about "Sino-Russian cooperation" during his visit to China. In the eyes of the United States, the normal cooperation between China and Russia has already involved the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and China is secretly providing military assistance to Russia. After all, as long as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine does not end for a day, the United States will find a way to pin the pot of "aid to Russia" on China's head.
But again, what about the evidence? Where is the evidence to say that China has provided military assistance to Russia? Taking a step back, even if China really supports Russia, the United States is not qualified to make irresponsible remarks. Over the past two years or so, the United States has actively supported Ukraine, which is obvious to all countries in the world. As the "largest arms supplier" on the battlefield in Ukraine, the United States is not exaggerating at all, if it were not for the United States, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine might have ended long ago. With Ukraine's military strength, on the battlefield, it can't last so long.
Now, Blinken has come to visit China with a purpose, and he has not said anything sincerely, but also tried to smear in front of the mainland. In addition to not being able to peacefully resolve the process of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, this US move will further damage Sino-US relations. Since the United States still does not want to shake hands with China, the mainland will not be polite. It is reported that long before Blinken arrived in China, he had been given 2 dismissals. First, China's Ministry of Commerce published a report titled "The Hypocritical Nature and Truth of U.S. Foreign Aid." The report summarizes U.S. foreign aid in four adjectives: selfish, arrogant, hypocritical, and ugly. Exposing U.S. foreign aid is essentially one of the tools to maintain its hegemonic status.
Interestingly, although the report was published by the Ministry of Commerce, it was posted on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and its purpose is intriguing. Second, China has returned to its previous trend of selling US bonds. Data shows that in February this year, China again reduced its holdings of 22.7 billion US bonds. So far, only $775 billion in U.S. Treasuries has been held, the lowest level since October last year. Why did Yellen come to China? To put it bluntly, she also has this purpose, to seek China's help and ease the debt pressure of the United States. It's just that neither Yellen nor Blinken really want to sit down with China, and the United States has always been hostile to China. Faced with this situation, it is time for China to fight back with actions after repeated warnings to no avail. The two preemptive moves told the United States one after another that it was okay to visit China, but it was not to think about doing things, especially to provoke China and Russia, and that the United States could not interfere between China and Russia.
