On April 22, 2024, Li Suying, a full-time member of the Procuratorial Committee of the Xincheng District People's Procuratorate, was invited to participate in the "Hiring a Vice Principal for Rule of Law and Giving a Lecture on the Rule of Law" activity, and was hired as the vice principal of the rule of law for the 2023-2026 Qixin Campus of Suhu Street Experimental Primary School. At the event, Li Suying brought a vivid rule of law education lesson to the students from the aspects of cultivating rule of law thinking and refusing campus bullying, integrating rule of law publicity and education into the study and life of teenagers, guiding teenagers to buckle the first rule of law button, cultivating faith in the rule of law, cultivating feelings for the rule of law, cultivating the spirit of the rule of law, enhancing the awareness of the rule of law, and escorting the healthy growth of teenagers with the power of justice.
In recent years, the trend of juvenile delinquency at a younger age and on the rise has aroused great concern in society, and the main reasons for this are as follows: First, juveniles themselves are not deeply involved in the world, lack of experience, have a weak ability to distinguish between right and wrong, and are very easily instigated and taken advantage of by others, and embark on the wrong path of breaking the law and committing crimes; second, juveniles have a weak concept of the rule of law and the lack of legal education, making them lack a "red line awareness" and lack of reverence for the law and respect for life.
In order to do a solid job of legal education for minors, the Xincheng District People's Procuratorate has implemented the "rule of law on campus" in multiple forms and in an all-round way, establishing a normalized and continuous legal education mechanism, increasing the breadth and effectiveness of legal publicity on campus, truly increasing the awareness of legal protection among the majority of young people and their guardians, and supporting a blue sky for the healthy growth of young people.
In the next step, the procuratorate of the Xincheng District People's Procuratorate will pay more attention to the effectiveness of action, link the actual situation of the school, and combine the characteristics of students, to assist the school in carrying out targeted legal popularization publicity, rule of law experience and other legal education activities. At the same time, through methods such as visits, discussions, and questionnaire surveys, further understanding of the problems that arise in schools in the development of legal education work, combined with the actual legal supervision work of the procuratorates, promptly submit recommendations to schools and other relevant departments to improve the establishment of legal education on campus, so as to assist schools in completing mechanisms for the prevention of campus sexual assault, campus bullying, violent crimes, and other related mechanisms, creating a positive atmosphere for the entire society to care for and protect minors, and promoting the work of legal education for minors to a new level.
