On the occasion of the 29th "World Book Day", on April 21, the 2024 "World Book and Copyright Day" and "Scholarly Fengyang, Reading the Future" classic recitation activity was held in the Chenghuang Temple Scenic Area of Zhongdu. The event was sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the County Party Committee, the County Culture and Tourism Bureau, the County Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the County Federation of Social Sciences, and undertaken by the County Library, the County Children's Library, Fengyang Daming Tourism Development (Group) Co., Ltd., and the County Love Reading Group. In his speech, Wang Qihu said that we should further improve the modern public cultural service system, innovate and implement cultural projects to benefit the people, and promote the expansion of national reading coverage, improve quality and enhance effectiveness. Through the promotion and encouragement of reading by the whole people, we will gradually form a scholarly social atmosphere that respects reading and learning, and hope that the whole society can participate in reading, form a strong atmosphere of loving reading, reading good books, and being good at reading, and create a good atmosphere of lifelong learning and positivity, so that reading becomes a habit and learning becomes enjoyment, and we will gather more powerful cultural forces for the construction of a scholarly Fengyang.

In the classic recitation activity, the first to appear is the dance "Shangchun Mountain", the performers are dressed in gorgeous costumes, dancing, the performance on the field is picturesque, and the audience is intoxicated. This was followed by a recitation session, in which the reciters either enthusiastically chanted "Spring, Then Remember", "Love in Spring" and "Dream of Leaving the Mountain", interpreting endless praise for spring and expressing their deep love for nature; or sonorously performing the historical drama "Qu Yuan" (excerpt) and the ancient poem "Pipa Xing", singing famous passages through the ages, carrying forward excellent traditional culture; or reciting the poem "It's That Cricket" with deep affection, expressing the strong desire for peace and stability, and showing the indestructible cohesion of the Chinese. The poems "The Sky of July" and the scene recitation "Young Storytellers" recited the passion and dreams of youth, highlighting the responsibilities and responsibilities of young people in the new era, and the poems "Praise", "Beautiful China", and the situational preaching "Painting a New Picture of the Times on the Field of Hope", praising the prosperity of the motherland and pride gushing out. In the beautiful sound of recitation, the reader and listener travel together through the long river of time, appreciating the intersection of wisdom and emotion.
Young readers and presenters "poems"
The event also set up 3 rounds of interactive sessions of "Win Tickets for Poetry". The host recites the last sentence of the classic poem, and the participants should immediately pick up the next sentence, and the audience who successfully recites 20 lines of poetry within two minutes can get a Fengyang County Tourism Annual Card. The audience actively participated, or responded fluently, or recited tacitly, creating a strong poetic atmosphere in laughter.

Scholars volunteers introduce digital reading to citizens
At the event site, the Fengyang County Library set up a check-in point for the "Reading Baby" mascot Meichen. Scholars volunteers promoted the library's digital reading resources here, provided reading consulting services, and distributed bookmarks, fans and other cultural and creative souvenirs, which enlivened the atmosphere of reading promotion and was well received by readers.
The holding of this event is another successful practice of Fengyang County Library and Fengyang County Falling in Love Reading Group to actively respond to the "Scholarly Anhui" national reading activity, which not only provides rich spiritual food for the general public, but also further promotes the deep integration of culture and tourism, injects innovative vitality into local cultural development, and adds cultural connotation to the development of the tourism industry.
