In order to further implement the "Tianjin Municipal Regulations on the Promotion of National Reading" and actively implement the deployment requirements of the District Party Committee and the District Government on the national reading work, on the afternoon of April 22, the launching ceremony of the 2024 Chentangzhuang Street Reading Festival and the "Reading + Intangible Cultural Heritage" promotion series of activities was held in MCC Heyuehui Sanlian Taofen Bookstore and Hexi District West Bank Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Hall.
The activity was guided by the Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee and the District Bureau of Culture and Tourism, hosted by the Party Working Committee and the Street Office of Chentangzhuang Street, and undertaken by Reading Space (Tianjin) Culture Communication Co., Ltd. In Sanlian Taofen Bookstore, Chentangzhuang Street released cultural symbols such as the theme LOGO and theme seal of the Reading Festival, as well as 6 chapters of "Study", "Inheritance", "Education", "Diligence", "Thanksgiving" and "The World", a total of 19 times, a series of cultural activities lasting 6 months, and carried out a theme lecture on "The Beauty of Reading Space" to publicize the importance of national reading and share ways to improve personal reading. Afterwards, everyone walked into the West Bund Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Center to visit and make book tickets to stimulate the public's interest in relish culture.
During the event, the person in charge of the District Bureau of Culture and Tourism awarded a plaque to the Chentangzhuang Street-level Cultural Station, and representatives of scholarly families, teachers and students, and young cadres shared their experiences and accepted the donated books.
It is understood that Chentangzhuang Street flexibly uses the rich intangible cultural heritage resources, takes the "World Reading Day" as an opportunity, creatively puts forward the concept of "reading + intangible cultural heritage", is committed to promoting the construction of public reading, vigorously publicizing and protecting intangible cultural heritage items, and building a "scholarly street". In the next step, the street will take the series of activities of the reading festival as a starting point, launch a rich form, high-quality, stable and long-term cultural project, continuously expand the influence of "reading + intangible cultural heritage" among the masses, and strive to create a new "West Bank" cultural business card, form a new normal of national reading, and create a strong atmosphere of inheriting and promoting the intangible cultural heritage skills and folk culture of Tianjin.
