Wuhai Grape Science and Technology Institute is an industry-university-research base jointly built by Wuhai Association for Science and Technology and Inner Mongolia Agricultural University relying on Green Farmers Yongsheng Farmer Professional Cooperative. In November 2022, with the approval of the Science and Technology Academy Alliance of China Rural Professional and Technical Association, the "Wuhai Grape Science and Technology Academy" (hereinafter referred to as the "Academy") was officially established. The small courtyard conscientiously implements the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's instructions to the science and technology courtyard, and according to the strategic requirements of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to put forward the general goal of "building an agricultural power", with the work orientation of "building a platform, creating a brand, making demonstrations, and seeing benefits", to achieve the effect of "establishing a small courtyard, driving an industry, and radiating a village", promoting the rejuvenation of Mongolia through science and technology, and helping rural revitalization.
In June 2022, 4 experts and professors and 2 graduate students from Inner Mongolia Agricultural University settled in the small courtyard to carry out popular science lectures, subject research and practical learning.
Zhao Qin, the winner of the "Most Beautiful Graduate Student", is a master's student of "Agronomy and Seed Industry" of Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, under the tutelage of Professor Li Zhengnan, and has been stationed in the grape science and technology courtyard in our city for a long time to study and practice, as required by General Secretary Xi Jinping, to solve people's livelihood and culture in the service of rural revitalization, and actively carry forward the spirit of "asking for hardships", seeking truth from facts, "closely combining classroom learning and rural practice", and contributing youth strength to the rural revitalization of our city in a down-to-earth manner. During the period in the small courtyard, he wrote 120 graduate student logs, investigated 18 famous grape varieties planted in the park, wrote variety profiles and photo records, and gave full play to his professional strengths to conduct research on viticulture and green prevention and control of pests and diseases, and conducted targeted analysis of heat, diseases and insect pests in the small courtyard and put forward reasonable solutions. For the problems encountered in grape production, we will provide zero-distance technical services for actual production, exchange various technical measures with the growers in our city, and receive Haizhi experts from the China Association for Science and Technology for many times, Tsinghua University summer social practice scholars, and leading experts from autonomous regions and urban areas to visit and investigate in the courtyard, and regularly go to the greenhouse growers and surrounding farmers for on-site technical guidance and technical assistance during the critical period of fruit tree production.
At present, under the guidance of the tutor, combined with the resources of the city's science and technology institute, a paper has been published in the magazine "Northern Fruit Tree", and the "Technical Regulations for the Cultivation of Fruit Hanging Fruit in the Year of Facility Grape Planting" has been preliminarily approved by the Autonomous Region Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, and has solved the problem of non-standard management and decentralized operation of some growers in our city, and helped Wuhai grapes to achieve large-scale standardized planting earlier.
