Recently, Liu, a resident of Gulin Township in Luzhou, placed 49 pottery jars in his residential store, storing about 10 tons of 53-degree liquor, and a large number of combustibles were piled up around, and the second floor was the house where Liu and his family lived.
When the Gulin County Fire and Rescue Brigade carried out the "Fire Safety Centralized Elimination and Rectification Action", it immediately realized that once a fire or explosion occurred in this place, the consequences would be unimaginable.
According to the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings, liquor with a degree of 38 degrees and above is classified as Class A in the fire hazard classification, and Class A articles are flammable and explosive dangerous goods. Therefore, the inspectors conducted an alcohol test on the stored liquor on site. After testing, the liquor stored in this place is 53 degrees, far exceeding the provisions of the "Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings".

According to Article 6.2 of the "Methods for Determining Major Fire Hazards" (GB35181-2017), "the places for the production, storage and operation of flammable and explosive dangerous goods are located in the same building with dense personnel and residential places, or the fire distance between them and densely populated residential places is less than 75% of the value specified in the national fire protection technical standards for engineering construction".
Because Liu set up the storage liquor and the place of residence in the same building, the inspectors determined that there were all major fire hazards in this place!
In response to Liu's behavior of storing a large amount of high-grade liquor in a residential area, the inspectors organized a collective proposal, issued a "Notice of Rectification of Major Fire Hazards", and required Liu to immediately organize rectification.
Liu's behavior violated the first paragraph of Article 19 of the Fire Protection Law of the People's Republic of China: the place of production, storage and operation of flammable and explosive dangerous goods shall not be set up in the same building as the place of residence, and shall keep a safe distance from the place of residence.
According to the provisions of Article 61, Paragraph 1 of the Fire Protection Law of the People's Republic of China: Liu was given an administrative penalty of a fine of RMB 20,000 and 30,000 yuan.
Afterwards, Liu had moved all the wine stored at home to the winery for storage.
