On April 23, the 2024 Silk Road (Gansu Wuwei) Transportation and Tourism Integration High-quality Development Exchange Conference was successfully held in Wuwei City, Gansu Province, the beautiful hometown of Tianma. More than 20 industry units from inside and outside the province, more than 100 industry insiders and media representatives gathered in Wuwei to participate in the grand event to discuss the innovative practices and successful experiences of the integrated development of transportation and tourism in expressway service areas along the Silk Road.
The exchange meeting was guided by the China Highway and Transportation Society, China Tourism Vehicle and Ship Association, Gansu Provincial Highway Transportation Construction Group Co., Ltd., and hosted by Gansu Provincial Expressway Service Group Co., Ltd. with the theme of "Silk Unlimited, Road to the World", aiming to take the "Belt and Road" interconnection as the main line, fully tap the local characteristics and resource advantages of the provinces along the G30 Lianhuo Expressway, promote the deep integration and development of transportation and cultural tourism industry, and build a form of one industry driven, multi-industry support, cross-border integration, A new pattern of transportation and tourism integration industry with linkage development.
At the meeting, Gansu Provincial Expressway Service Group Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the Silk Road (G30) transportation and tourism integration and high-quality development joint conference and a strategic cooperation agreement on "attracting tourists to Gansu" with industry units in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan, Shaanxi and Xinjiang, laying a solid foundation for further attracting tourists from inside and outside the province, activating the local tourism market and driving multi-party resource sharing. The opening ceremony of this digital service platform will further enhance the experience and satisfaction of the public, and promote the intelligent and convenient development of transportation and travel integration.
This exchange meeting focused on topics such as the development of smart transportation, the excavation of Silk Road culture, the upgrading and transformation of service areas, and the international self-driving of the Silk Road, and discussed the many paths for scientific and technological innovation to empower the development of the "service area +" industry and innovative business models to promote the in-depth development of transportation and tourism integration. Experts, scholars and business representatives from all over the country gave exchange speeches on the optimization of service area resources, service quality improvement, cultural inheritance and innovation, regional coordinated development, etc., shared successful experience in business innovation and brand building, provided practical examples for peers to learn from, helped to improve the service quality and economic benefits of the service area, and reached a consensus on collaboration.
The conference built an exchange platform for provinces along the Silk Road to deepen cooperation, and created good conditions for building a development pattern of regional linkage and complementary advantages. The successful holding of the conference not only pointed out the direction for the innovation and development of the service areas of the provinces along the Silk Road, but also injected strong momentum into the creation of the Silk Road Scenic Belt with integrated and connected scenery, the Silk Road Economic Belt with mutual promotion of industries and road connections, and the realization of the beautiful vision of "Infinite Silk Connection, Road to the World".
The participants also visited the theme cultural display of the Wuwei service area and jointly appreciated the thousand-year-old charm of the "Impression of Liangzhou"; carried out the theme activity of "Reading Ten Thousand Books, Traveling Ten Thousand Miles" with books as the medium, exploring the Silk Road civilization in books and ink, and participated in and witnessed the unveiling ceremony of the Wuwei Service Area at the starting point of the Silk Road International Self-driving Hexi Corridor Tour and the launching ceremony of the Gansu Wuwei Service Area at the starting point of the Silk Road Hexi Corridor Silk Road International Self-driving Tour. The participants spoke highly of the overall environment and management level of the Wuwei service area, and hoped to further strengthen exchanges and communication in the future, empower the "service area +" Luyan economy, and make positive contributions to promoting the construction of a transportation power.
