Theory Presentation Contest
In order to comprehensively study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, continue to promote the Party's innovative theories to go deeper and more practical, sing the main theme, promote positive energy, and boost spirit, according to the key work arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee Lecturer Group in 2024, it is decided to hold a theoretical propaganda contest of "Holding the Truth to the Future, Advancing Day by Day" in the city, and the specific arrangements are as follows:
1. Topic selection
Entries must focus on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Cultural Thought, conscientiously implement the spirit of the national, provincial and municipal propaganda, ideological and cultural work conferences and the spirit of the Propaganda Ministers' Conference, the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's latest important speech and the spirit of important instructions and instructions on Hebei's work, and the national, provincial and municipal "two sessions" Spirit, the spirit of the 10th Plenary Session of the Provincial Party Committee, the spirit of the 7th Plenary Session of the 10th Municipal Party Committee, etc., fully embodies the spiritual outlook and vivid practice of the majority of party members and cadres in our city to strive to create a new situation in Handan's Chinese-style modernization.
2. Participants
Theoretical propaganda workers at all levels in the city, grassroots theoretical propaganda volunteers, social science popularization workers, college students and other full-time (part-time) theoretical propaganda personnel.
3. Schedule
The competition is divided into two stages: the preliminary round and the final.
(1) Preliminaries
The lecturer group of the county (city, district) party committee, the party and government office of the South Hebei New Area and the Economic Development Zone, and the relevant units directly under the city will organize and implement it on their own, and one team will be selected to represent the local department after the preliminaries.
(2) Finals
1. Time and place of the finals: mid-May (tentative), the specific time and place will be notified separately. 2. Participation requirements: 1 team will be selected from all localities and units to participate (no more than 4 people, including 1 team leader, no more than 3 players, and the contestants have not participated in the 2023 provincial and municipal propaganda competition). 3. Awards: 3 first prizes, 5 second prizes, 8 third prizes, and several outstanding organization awards. 4. Requirements and scoring criteria for entries: The work must be an original manuscript, and the duration must be controlled within 8 minutes, and points will be deducted for overtime. The score is on a 100-point scale, with the average score after removing the highest score and the lowest score as the final score. (1) The content of the competition is 40 points. (20 points for clear themes, substantial content, and solid theoretical foundation; 20 points for vivid and specific content, with a sense of truth, being able to explain big truths and refract big problems with small incisions, explaining the party's innovative theories in simple terms, and explaining the key topics that the masses are concerned about.) (2) 30 points for verbal expression. (10 points for standard language, clear pronunciation, loud voice; 10 points for clear expression, natural fluency; proper language processing, appropriate speed of speech, tone and volume are relaxed, suitable for the content of the speech, strong appeal, able to speak with strength and confidence. (3) Image demeanor 10 points. (Full of energy, able to use body language such as posture, movements, gestures, expressions and other body language to express the theme and content of the speech, dress plainly and elegantly, and behave naturally.) (4) 10 points for the form of preaching. (The innovation adopts immersive, situational, literary, interactive and other forms of presentation, which is highly attractive and 5 points; the VCR is cleverly conceived and rigorously structured and 5 points.) (5) 10 points for comprehensive effect. (The preaching method is innovative, the materials cited are typical, reflecting the spirit of the times, which can make people understand, think, and inspire, the overall effect is good, and the preaching time meets the requirements.) ）
Fourth, the relevant requirements
(1) Strengthen organizational leadership.
All localities and units should attach great importance to it, organize it meticulously, mobilize it extensively, and organize the preliminary competition. The outstanding teams will represent our city to participate in the finals of the 5th Theoretical Propaganda Contest of the Provincial Party Committee Lecturer Group System in 2024. Outstanding lecturers will be included in the management of grassroots lecturers in the lecturer group of the Municipal Party Committee, and participate in theoretical propaganda activities for the grassroots frontline.
(2) Innovative ways and means.
Encourage the use of audio, video, situational performances and other forms to assist in preaching, set off the atmosphere, and strive to achieve the best preaching effect. Each team needs to create a demonstration VCR in advance, prepare well, and give a presentation off the script.
(3) Ensure the effectiveness of the activity.
The content of the lecture should adhere to the correct political direction and public opinion orientation, the draft of the contest must be original, the content should be closely related to the theme, the examples cited should be true and accurate, and the method of preaching should be flexible and diverse, so as to ensure that the display form is rich and colorful, and the masses like to hear it.
5. Submission requirements
Before April 30, all localities and departments will submit the scanned and electronic version of the participation recommendation form (see attachment) to the mailbox of the lecturer group of the Municipal Party Committee, and the competition presentation script and background demonstration VCR will be submitted after the official notice of the finals is issued.
