Recently, the ecological bottle DIY activity sponsored by the Yangpu District Taiwan Federation and the Taiwan Association Working Committee, and undertaken by the Yangpu District Fuqi Youth Development Center, was launched in the NOYA Youth Cultural Space, further caring for Taiwanese youth in Shanghai and enhancing the emotional connection between the district and Taiwan.
This event is the first event of the Cross-Strait Youth Federation in 2024, attracting the active participation of 15 groups of Taiwanese parent-child families, Taiwan compatriots and Taiwanese youth.
This activity revolves around the circular construction of ecology, putting the "spring" in everyone's eyes into a bottle and making an "ecological bottle" to convey the concept of caring for ecology and you and I are responsible. What is an "ecological bottle"? It is actually a closed ecosystem, as long as some plants that can provide oxygen are put into a glass bottle, keep the bottle mouth closed, and the creatures can survive in it, full of magic.
The children who came to participate in the event were very excited and tried to put the "spring" in their eyes into bottles. Under the guidance of the staff, everyone laid the substrate, laid the aquifer, laid the soil, and planted plants...... It didn't take long for a unique ecological bottle to appear in front of you.
Several Taiwanese youths studying in Yangpu also actively participated in the event, and the president of the Taiwan Students Association of Fudan University was one of them. He said that he had participated in similar activities organized by the Empowering Youth Organization before, which was very meaningful, "It feels very good for everyone to get together to discuss ecology and communicate with each other." ”
At the scene, the staff from the Empowerment Youth Development Center also introduced the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations to the young people present, "This event involves 13, 14 and 15 of the Sustainable Development Goals, and the production of ecological bottles is also from the perspective of nature and biological diversity. The staff said.
"The activity is very meaningful, which can let the children understand the importance of the ecological environment, and also exercise their hands-on and communication skills. A young man who has been in Shanghai for 6 years said.
Chen Shuangmao, the founder of Yangpu District Fuqi Youth Development Center, has been rooted in Yangpu for many years since he came all the way from Taiqing. Referring to why he organized such public welfare activities, he said: "It is very meaningful to be able to do some interactive activities for young people on both sides of the strait, so that more young people can get together, learn together, and play together."
