At the beginning of the article, the magazine claimed that it had obtained first-hand information, sent by a mysterious person, and that it had never been circulated to the public before it was published. What does this mean - exclusive ingredients, don't come to buy them yet?

After the magazine came out on the street, it sold well as expected, and sold well until it was out of stock. However, this magazine is also pointed out by thousands of people.

On the same day, the Hong Kong Film, Television and Entertainment Administration received 660 complaints against this report, setting a record for Hong Kong media complaints. A number of social groups have issued statements of condemnation, accusing East Weekly of ignoring media ethics, professional ethics and social responsibility, and criticizing them for abusing press freedom.

Women's groups in Hong Kong condemned East Weekly's lack of respect for women and trampled on women's dignity, and called on the public to refuse to buy the magazine. The entertainment industry is even more angry, and issued a statement with the title of "Heaven and Earth Are Intolerable" to condemn the relevant people of "East Weekly".

The case dragged on for years, and in 2008, Meng Hanming, the editor-in-chief of East Weekly, was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for two years. The verdict aroused strong dissatisfaction with the Hong Kong Department of Justice, which appealed, hoping that the editor-in-chief would honestly eat half a year in prison.

It was not until May 7, 2009 that Meng Hanming was sentenced to prison immediately after a final judgment, but his sentence was reduced from six months to five months.

"East Weekly" resumed publication after changing hands in March 2003, and in 2006, it committed another thing that made everyone in the Hong Kong entertainment industry angry-

In October of that year, Shen Dianxia was seriously ill and once critically ill, and a maid who was the deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine sneaked into the ICU to secretly take pictures of Shen Dianxia's sick appearance and was caught red-handed and sentenced to 4 weeks in prison. However, the maid refused to disclose who instructed it, and Meng Hanming also cut the incident, saying that it had nothing to do with the company and was the personal responsibility of the deputy editor-in-chief's domestic helper.

However, the mystery of Carina Lau's kidnapping has still not been solved.

Why was he kidnapped, and who was behind it?

On November 5, 2002, the police recorded Carina Lau's confession related to the kidnapping incident 12 years ago. On November 7, it was reported that Carina Lau knew who was behind the scenes, and it was indeed like the rumors circulating in the early 90s that she was kidnapped because she refused to make a movie that year and offended a powerful big brother.

However, Carina Lau did not reveal which movie she rejected and who the big brother was. Some people in the community claimed that they were willing to fund a reward for the mastermind behind the scenes, but Carina Lau declined, only saying "I hope that things will be calm", and she will not say more.

Six years later, in July 2008, Carina Lau was interviewed by the late Hong Kong female writer Lin Yanni on the eve of her wedding to Tony Leung in Bhutan, and in a rare personal account of the details of the abduction - this article was first published in Southern Metropolis Daily at the time.

After returning to Hong Kong, Cai Ziming successively opened jewelry stores, restaurants, KTV and other physical stores. In 1988, he partnered with Pan Zhiyong, another big man of 14K, to start Fuyi Film and Television Company. They met each other through a younger brother of Hu Xuyong, who had sold white powder with Cai Ziming in the Netherlands. At that time, Cai Ziming had not yet known Jet Li, and they were tied to each other until the beginning of 1992.

However, from the current public information, it can be seen that "Booming Dragon and Tiger Club" was released on November 4, 1989, which is inconsistent with the time of Carina Lau's kidnapping, because the kidnapping incident occurred in April 1990.
