Kasuga. Twilight.

Cypriot steppe. Rich sacred mountain. Ore everywhere. The sky is full of colorful clouds.

In a large house of more than 120 square meters in the residential area of Century City, the lights are bright, the laughter is full, and Du Shouyi's family of more than a dozen people is in the same house for four generations, sharing the weekend reunion.

Taking a sip of the Longjing tea that his son Du Hua had just made, 93-year-old Du Shouyi's face was full of red light, and he praised "good tea!

"Good tea, good water!" The family also heartily echoed and praised.

Glancing at his granddaughter-in-law Xiao Song, who took the kettle and walked into the kitchen to directly open the direct drinking water faucet to receive water, Du Shouyi couldn't help but sigh with emotion: "Not to mention, it's really not easy to drink such water in our Baiyun!"

"Isn't it just a matter of drinking saliva, what's not easy?"

Looking at the 15-year-old great-grandson Du Jingyu, who was full of confusion and disdain, Du Shouyi said to Xiao Jingyu earnestly and seemed to say to the whole family: "Today's simple little thing to drink saliva has struggled for three generations. Think of the source of drinking water, and think of the source of drinking water. "Ah, three generations! Master, why don't you just talk about it?" The grandfather's emotion aroused Du Jingyu's curiosity.

"Well, it's time to talk to you about it. Du Shouyi took a sip of hot tea and quickly sank into the memories of the past. Some of these past events he had heard, and some of them he had personally experienced, bit by bit, beaded into a chain, were still in front of him......

In the early 1950s, the Central People's Government decided to carry out large-scale exploration and development of Baiyun Obo, which was primitive and silent. A few goshawks hovered on the top of the rich sacred mountain, and on the surrounding vast grasslands, sheep and horses were occasionally seen.

On May 18, 1950, the first batch of 30 personnel of the first geological survey team sent by the Central People's Government arrived in Baiyun Obo under the escort of a cavalry company and an infantry reinforced platoon of the Fourth Mongolian Cavalry Division of the Suiyuan Military Region.

When the site was selected, unloaded the truck, and erected the yurt, five or six local herdsmen who came to see the excitement saw that they did not know the essentials, so they took the initiative to come up and help, and set up five yurts in one go. Despite the language barrier, the seeds of friendship and solidarity were planted deep in each other's hearts from the very beginning.

After the first meal was eaten, the drinking water buckets loaded in Baotou City were all at the bottom, and the team members who were full of loess in their ears and nostrils couldn't even wash their faces. Finding water became the most difficult task they faced.

The next day, in the raging northwest wind, the team members searched for a long circle and finally found an abandoned well that was congested with rocks and overgrown with weeds.

After careful digging and repair, although the water is turbid and difficult to swallow, it finally has a "source of life".

Later, under the guidance of the local herdsmen, they found a well that had been abandoned for many years, and this well was just as the herders said, with a large amount of water and good water quality, and everyone was very happy.

However, two years later, the number of geological team members who came to support Baiyun Obo increased to several hundred, and the water from two wells could hardly cope with the lives of so many people. The geological team specially modified the waterwheel and wandered around the grassland in search of water, but often could not bring back much water for most of the day. Water is still the biggest problem that plagues the production and life of the team members.

In the early spring of 1953, the team members who drove out to find water encountered a snowstorm and got lost, and they didn't know where to drive in a daze. Everyone was at a loss when they suddenly saw a figure waving a red scarf waving to them not far away.

When I drove the car over, I realized that it was a Mongolian girl. Although the language barrier, but after some comparison between the two sides, the team members finally understood that the girl lived nearby, and when they went out to drive the sheep, they occasionally found them driving around the neighborhood thinking that they were thirsty and hungry to find a family, so they hurriedly ran out to greet them, and the girl also understood that these few people who drove the car did not come to the door to ask for milk tea, but to find water.

Looking for water? The girl was suddenly full of excitement, and she gestured and said that she knew where there was water, and that there was a lot of it, and it was very good, very tasty and delicious! Seeing that the team members were suspicious, the girl was a little anxious, and immediately climbed into the car and was about to lead them to find water. The car bumped and walked for more than 10 miles in the wind and snow, and a clear spring was really in front of them! The team members were so excited that they jumped out of the car and took the spring water with their hands and sent it to their mouths.

This spring is called Baiyun Prague, which means abundant water source in Mongolian.

The girl's name is Gafulama, which means festive and joyful in Tibetan.

This spring soon built the first water source of Baiyun Obo, it is like the broad mind of the grassland, like the fiery heart of the herdsmen, infiltrating the flowers and plants of Baiyun Obo, warming the old and young of Baiyun Obo, so that Baiyun Obo is full of vitality and endless.

After talking so much in one breath, Du Shouyi was a little tired and a little excited. This 21-year-old old from Hebei to the Inner Mongolia prairie after the old "branch", experienced this place from mining to construction to prosperity and development of every stage of every scene, now sitting in front of the bright window, after decades of mining experience and the creation of a solid body like a thick book, vividly record the glorious past of this hot land.

"Master, I didn't expect the story you told to be so good!" Du Jingyu held the water glass tightly with both hands, still unsatisfied.

"I'm not done with my story, so I'll let your grandfather tell you about it. Du Shouyi said.

Du Jingyu looked eagerly at his grandfather Du Hua. The 69-year-old Du Hua is full of gorgeous hair, in good spirits, and his voice is like a bronze bell. The story of Baiyun Obo Water hidden in his heart is also a big list. What exactly did he tell you? We'll find out next time.
