The United States has taken hypocrisy to the extreme, "sanctioning" Israel on the front foot and sending 26 billion military aid on the back foot

Since the outbreak of a new round of Palestinian-Israeli conflict in October last year, the United States has shown bottomless favoritism to Israel, which has always kept the United States passive in international public opinion. Israel's actions in Gaza have made it impossible for the Western media to even wash the floor. And recently, the Americans actually took the lead in "sanctioning" a wave of Israel, which caused a sensation in international public opinion. However, behind this public opinion, it is the United States that has played hypocrisy to the extreme.

Let's talk about "sanctions" first. According to Newsweek, The Times of Israel, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, will announce "sanctions" against a unit of the Israel Defense Forces in the coming days. The reason for the "sanctions" is that the troops are "violating human rights" in the West Bank. Immediately, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "went berserk" on social media, saying that the United States could not impose sanctions on Israel.

In fact, the reason and the means of sanctions that Blinken found are very "alternative", and can even be said to be too deliberate. In the past, the United States imposed sanctions on individuals or entities. Even if sanctions are imposed on the armies of other countries, they are carried out with the entire armed organization, or a certain organization is set up as a terrorist organization to strike, and there has never been a case of sanctioning a certain force. To put it mildly, if the United States really wants to impose sanctions, it will not be targeted by a certain Israeli force, but by the Israel Defense Forces. Benny Gantz, a cabinet member in Israel, even criticized the United States on the Internet that the infantry unit is part of the Israel Defense Forces. From here, in fact, it can also be seen that this wave of "sanctions" by the United States is purely "selling dog meat on the head of a sheep".

At the same time as the news of "sanctions" came out, the US House of Representatives voted to pass a bill on foreign military aid, totaling $95 billion, equivalent to about 690 billion yuan. The lion's share is in Ukraine, with another $60 billion. And Israel, which is facing "sanctions", has also received $26 billion in military aid. The news was cheered on social media by Zelensky and Netanyahu, who posted "thanks to the United States".

You see, on the one hand, there are illusory "sanctions", and on the other hand, there is real military support. In this performance, the Americans can be said to have used "hypocrisy" to the extreme. Netanyahu, who was still "angrily denouncing" US sanctions, turned around and changed his face, and "thanked the United States".

In my personal opinion, the United States and Israel are playing a double game this time, and most of them are political. On the one hand, Blinken mentioned the matter of "sanctioning" Israel, but behind this is actually to increase Biden's influence in this year's presidential election. Previously, because of his support for Israel, it greatly affected Biden's support. Now such a "sheep's head and dog meat" is completely fooling the voters. On the other hand, the United States, which is already on the cusp of international public opinion, is bound to be widely criticized again. But with the mouth of "sanctions", it doesn't matter what exactly is sanctioned. But at least the US aid to Israel has a "bunker" of public opinion.
