The new M5 has been fine-tuned in terms of exterior details, with the main changes being the closed air intake grille, the blackened design of the Wenjie LOGO integrated with the lamp cluster, and the silver trim strip at the lower surround replaced with black.

The new M5 is equipped with an all-aluminum alloy chassis, a front four-ball head double wishbone + rear multi-link independent suspension, and is equipped with the HUAWEI DATS 2.0 intelligent collaboration system. These features improve steering sensitivity, lateral stability and ride comfort.
In terms of intelligent driving, the AEB of the new M5 has been increased to 120km/h for stationary vehicles.
