Avient will be showcasing its new OnColor™ nylon series of stable and long-lasting orange solutions for electric vehicle (EV) high-voltage connectors. The new orange formulation helps to improve the long-term thermal stability of the orange color of the warning orange polymer, adding to the Avient OnColor™ portfolio.

In addition, Avient will also be showcasing its PTFE-free LubriOne™ wear-resistant self-lubricating formulations for the Asian market. Released in Europe for the first time in 2023, these products are free of fluorinated lubricants such as PTFE and expand Avient's LubriOne™ formulation portfolio. They are suitable for a wide range of polymer systems, including PA6, PA66, PC, POM, PBT, PPS, and PK, and their performance is comparable to a variety of traditional self-lubricating wear-resistant formulations.

"The plastics industry is rapidly evolving to meet the demand for sustainable and circular solutions that increase product recycling and manufacturing viability, as well as improve product functionality, and the Global Sustainability Initiative is supporting this goal," said Jeffrey Li, Vice President and General Manager, Color & Additives, Avient Asia. At Chinaplas, we will showcase Avient's expertise in addressing these trends and complex challenges, including annual color forecast guides, custom colorants and additives, thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), and specialty engineered materials for a wide range of industries. ”

At this year's CHINAPLAS (booth number 8.2, booth 8.2F31, hall 8.2), Avient will highlight the following services and innovative products:

• ColorForward™ 2025: Avient's acclaimed 19th annual Color Trend Forecast, showcasing 20 shades from four trend themes that are expected to resonate with consumers and inspire brands and designers of plastic products.

• ColorWorks™ Design & Technology Centers: Dedicated teams of experts provide valuable ideas, inspiration, and technical guidance, working closely with customers at four ColorWorks™ Design & Technology Centers around the world to develop impactful color ideas in the early stages of product development.

• Mevopur™ colorants and formulations for healthcare applications: a range of medical-grade masterbatches and pre-colored formulations for a wide range of polymers in applications such as remote patient monitoring, circulating blood contact and in vitro devices, pre-tested to ISO 10993 biocompatibility standards, change control, production certified to ISO 13485-2016, Drug Master File (DMF)/Device Master File (MAF) compliant.

• ColorMatrix™ Amosorb™ 4020R High rPET Content Oxygen Absorber: An oxygen absorber specifically designed for recycled PET (rPET). The solution provides comprehensive oxygen uptake with up to 100% rPET content, which improves the haze and color of rPET bottles and enhances aesthetics.

• Cesa™ Nox A4R Additives for Enhanced Recycling: Includes a range of specialized antioxidants that can be used to prevent oxidation of post-consumer recycled polyolefins, avoiding defects such as black spots, gels, discoloration, etc., during processing and recycling.

• reSound™ REC Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE): Designed for automotive interiors, it contains 55% post-consumer recycled content (PCR) and can replace standard grades of TPE without compromising performance metrics such as UV stability, low VOC content, low odor and low fogging, making it more sustainable for applications such as HVAC nozzles, interior floor mats and cup holders.

• Versaflex™ TF Hot Melt Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) for Textile Fabrics: A cost-effective alternative to thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) films and traditional glues, it is plasticizer-free, has a low VOC content, meets the OEKO-TEX 100-2 test, has excellent washability at 60°C, and adheres seamlessly and strongly to polyester and nylon fabrics, providing excellent resilience and high wearing comfort for target applications such as functional sportswear, workout and underwear.

• Syncure™ XLPE Silane Room Temperature Self-Crosslinking Polyethylene Formulations: A range of silane room temperature self-crosslinking polyethylene systems (XLPE) for wire insulation and cable jacketing that offer heat, oil, creep and abrasion resistance, good low-temperature performance, excellent flame retardancy, and are certified to UL 44, UL 4703 and CSA 22.2 for testing.

• OnForce Long Glass Fiber™ Reinforced Thermoplastics: Designed specifically for automotive footrests, they offer high dimensional stability, rigidity and flexibility, cyclic fatigue strength and long-term creep resistance, as well as excellent chemical and UV resistance, good colorability (including silver), and ease of processing.

• Bergamid™ FR Halogen-Free Flame Retardant Nylon Formulations: Designed for high-voltage connectors that combine the application flexibility of high-flow nylon in thin-walled designs with the sustainability of halogen-free flame retardant systems, available in unfilled or reinforced PA6, PA66, and PA 6/66 ratings to meet UL 94 V0 and CTI 800+ ratings.

• Colorant Chromatics™ Transcend High Quality Medical Grade Colorants™: High-temperature color solutions with a wide range of transparent/opaque effects in pre-colored or masterbatch form, ISO 10993 compliant and biocompatibility tested, providing ultra-high heat resistance and excellent performance without a proven track record.

• Colorant Chromatics™ UV Laser Marking Technology for FEP: This UV marking technology delivers better results than traditional and infrared marking methods, with permanently clear, soft, cost-effective and 60-80% contrast ratios, helping cable manufacturers meet aerospace industry standards.
