On April 23, the driving sight learned from the GAC Trumpchi official that GAC Trumpchi and Anda Combination held the Trumpchi Zhidian Technology i-GTEC Technology Show. And gave this technology show a very down-to-earth name - "Everyone Loves Chicken Legs", inspired by the homonym of i-GTEC, and launched an unexpected automotive technology brand launch.
During the event, Trumpchi New Energy announced that its technology brand Trumpchi Zhidian Technology i-GTEC was officially upgraded to the 2.0 stage, with a full-dimensional advancement of chassis, three-electric, intelligent and technology platforms. i-GTEC2.0 depicts a worry-free smart electric travel scenario and blueprint for users in the future, demonstrating the strong R&D strength and technological reserves of Trumpchi New Energy. From 2025, Trumpchi Zhidian Technology i-GTEC2.0 technology will be successively installed on Trumpchi new energy models.
Previously, at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show, GAC Trumpchi officially launched a new technology brand, Trumpchi Zhidian Technology i-GTEC. In less than half a year, Trumpchi New Energy has quickly upgraded the i-GTEC of Trumpchi Zhidian Technology to 2.0, bringing full-dimensional advancement, and comprehensively improving the four core technologies of chassis, three-electric, intelligent and technology platform.
Specifically, in terms of intelligence, Trumpchi will join forces with Huawei. At present, many models of Trumpchi have been equipped with Huawei's intelligent cockpit, and Huawei's high-end intelligent driving assistance system will also be launched on Trumpchi brand models. As a result, it is likely that the Trumpchi brand models will develop together with two sets of ecological cockpits in the future, that is, Huawei's intelligent cockpit and the existing ADiGO intelligent driving interconnection ecosystem.
In terms of three-electric technology, the i-GTEC 2.0 technology will use quark electric drive as well as an all-solid-state battery. Quark electric drive is a six-in-one carbon fiber rotor motor, with a maximum speed of 27000r, a total weight of no more than 100kg, and a transmission efficiency of up to 98.2%. The energy density of the all-solid-state battery can reach more than 400Wh/kg, which means that the vehicle range will also exceed 1000km, and it has more advantages in durability and safety.
In terms of chassis, the biggest highlight of the i-GTEC 2.0 is the addition of dual-chamber air suspension, and there is intelligent preview technology, which can be adjusted according to actual road conditions. At the same time, the function of rear-wheel steering will be added in the future, and Trumpchi itself is a large MPV, if the MPV model can add the function of rear-wheel steering, then the convenience in daily use will be greatly improved.
In terms of platform, the current power system of Trumpchi is very rich, including fuel, gasoline-electric hybrid and plug-in hybrid. The i-GTEC platform can be compatible with HEV/PHEV/REEV hybrid modes, and even in the future, it can be compatible with multiple energy sources such as electricity/hydrogen/ammonia.
It is understood that on the stage of the Beijing Auto Show this month, Trumpchi New Energy will bring more blockbuster measures, and I believe that in the near future, we can also feel the practical application effect of i-GTEC 2.0.
